Yes, so Bret Baier can talk about this and ignore the election in NC.

A spokesdork, a scheduler and a comms director. How will the Republic survive?

I guess Trump blew off Romney’s demand that Bolton be re-hired.

The fake news is spinning this as Trump just doesn’t want people around him who disagrees with him.

Instead of Bolton was too Hawkish for Trump. If it was up to Bolton we would have gotten in wars in Syria, Venezuela, and Iran. And probably China.

“Maybe????? They were ALLOWED to resign unlike Bolton.”

When I was an administrator, I usually gave people whom the governing board wanted out an opportunity to resign unless there was a clear violation of the law or an egregious violation of company policy. However, the distinction between a resignation and a firing is often purely semantic. Trump said last night that he asked Bolton to submit his resignation. Thus, Bolton is semantically correct that he resigned but, for all practical purposes, Bolton was fired.

Bolton’s boot lickers. Nothing unusual.

Heh, conservatives fire folks when they cannot perform to standards.

Progressives fire folks when they cannot lie to standards.

“Why did they take this long?”

To drive the Republican wins in NC off the news.

Why does the National Security Advisor need a Communications Director? Isn’t a big part of his job not communication to outside parties?

Bolton’s people didn’t leak regardless of what is posted here in FR. Under him the NSC was hermetically sealed. The final straw was that Bolton had told Trump on several occasions that he wasting his breath with the Taliban in Afghanistan. Pompeo was ambivalent. Trump didn’t like the fact that Bolton could, from last Friday forward, tell the CinC, “see, I told you so.” Finally, it is rather too bad that with regard to the people that surrounded Trump he has felt it necessary to send them off with a load of snide comments. Quite frankly, he is a thankless boss.

I’m generally fairly up on news - but what has happened to Bolton? There was a day in the not-so-distant past where he was hailed as practically a hero of the Conservatives. Now suddenly he is the bad guy?

I’m not arguing for or against him - I’m trying to figure out what changed and why...

Speaking of sweeping ....... that was very, very cool how the Mets WON LAST NIGHT on 9/11 with 9 RUNS AND 11 HITS.

Very cool.

I saw the highlights on Quickpitch early this morning. Beautiful!
