How is that so? Stipulating it for now, “the right of the people to keep and bear arms” is a second amendment thing and more clearly stated than what you call “a first amendment thing”

If a person is in your house with a gun, you have every right to ask them to either put the gun outside somewhere or require them to leave the premises. That is true with all privately owned property. The property owner is sorta god on their own property, even if it is a publicly accessible place, like the common areas of a shopping mall. If one disagrees with their rule, they have the option of not going there.

“The property owner is sorta god on their own property,…”

That’s a bold statement considering that, while you personally may have paid for your property in Kentucky, the land that is now Kentucky was taken by conquest from Europeans and Natives (who took it from each other).

“If one disagrees with their rule, they have the option of not going there.”

That can cut both ways.

Theoretically, Bloomberg could buy all the retail stores in a small town that he never visited let alone lived in, and ban firearms in those stores contrary to the wishes and common practice of the residents. It might even be legal in some places, though I don’t believe it would be right.

My neighbors and I have an intangible property interest in our community. If an outsider comes it’s preferable that the outsider assimilate to us rather than forcing us to his will. If the outsider wants to force us to his will, he’s more than welcome to go elsewhere.
