not a shocker - children with special needs are a major stressor for marriages. my niece is severely autistic and it created a lot of stress for my brother’s marriage (though they did not break up). my first cousin and his wife split when their child (with asberger’s) went to college.
Time for a newer model, with all the options, before time runs out.
McCain in his decline of a number of months before he died said picking Sarah was his biggest mistake and then he doesn’t invite her to his funeral. That to me said it all about him. As said above in 20/20 hindsight she should have refused his invitation to run with him.
I absolutely could be wrong but I’ve always had the sense that he was rather low rent...a bit of a loser. If,by chance,my hunch is correct then he’s doing governor Palin a huge favor.

It’s really a shame. Until the Trumps, no family in the country ever received the kind of evil treatment, personal attacks, other vile accusations and slanders the Palin family has — all for her being nothing more than a successful Governor and the only thing of value on the 2008 Presidential ticket. It wasn’t that she needed to be defeated, but she needed to be destroyed.

His accident was brutal. Her press enemies were relentless. The conflicts regarding their children have been painful, public and pretty constant. Both of them have suffered, deeply, for one another, and together for their children and over their children, in one circumstance after another.
They loved their kids and are amazing people. Sometimes, emotional health and well-being is strained too much for too long. Is it odd that
Todd filed? Does it mean anything? Usually, the wife used to be expected to do the actual filing, unless she couldn’t or wouldn’t.
This development is Sarah's life saddens me. It couldn't happen to a finer woman and I will always have love in my heart for her. There is a dark cloud over all of this and it's hard to get a picture of this tragedy.
I thought Alaskans had tougher temperaments that could overcome problems such as marriage difficulties. Operating a fishing business and a four-time champion of the Tesoro Iron Dog, snowmobile race should have given Todd some grits. Todd should man up and get over his difficulties. At 55, Todd may find the next wife only interested in him as a gold digger.
Very sad.

Sorry to hear this. Hope they reconsider and go for some counseling with their pastor or another Christian-based marriage counselor. Will be praying for them.
