“I thought the RNC is closing down the primaries.”

I think SC has voted in favor of that and a couple of other states are in the process of doing that as well.

I think it’s a big mistake, personally. Open conversation about the direction of the party is healthy. Look at the fight between the Sanders and Hillary supporters back in 2016 as an example.

Get ready to be pilloried.

You are correct, regardless. And the guy isn’t all wrong.

I guess I have a feeling that closing down the primaries is somewhat overkill but here is the problem.

The primaries have become the home of ding bats like this guy. Continuing an open conversation, I agree, is healthy, but the conversation is with stalking horses and ding bats not with those who might have to stick their neck out like Romney, Lee, or the Postman.

What might that direction be?
“Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.”

— Communist goal #15, from “The Naked Communist” (1958)
When a RINO wants to discuss the “direction” of the GOP, it invariably means to turn it further leftward. And RINOs have always mixed truth with lies.

Agreed. Both parties are jokes and both do not respect or represent the People of the USA. There should be no worshipping of candidates nor parties.

Republicans are out of ideas, if we’ve learned anything from a Trump presidency. He’s the only one with any new ideas or new approaches to old ideas. I support this. And if the left and the media squeal like pigs, who cares? They squeal over sharpie marks.

I agree. Someone in an earlier comment said that outside of Trump there is no GOP. I hope that is not true. Because that is not how you describe a political party. It’s would be more of a cult. And that’s not something I have any interest in being part of. Sometimes I think I’m the last FReeper who is willing to be critical of Trump.

Um, Hillary lost. How did that help her or the Democrats?
