....In a criminal complaint affidavit filed by the U.S. Attorney's Office obtained by The Miami Herald, Abdul-Majeed Marouf Ahmed Alani was reportedly unhappy because of stalled union negotiations between the mechanics union and the airline.
Alani was arrested Thursday and accused of disabling a component of the navigation system known as an air data module.
Pilots noticed the issue July 17 when they got an error message during takeoff. They aborted the flight, with 150 on board. An inspection....

The ADM processes airspeed data to the primary flight displays and could provide false data that directly affects the flight safety of the aircraft.
There have been many recent crashes that have listed faulty airspeed data as a cause or contributing factor.
Usually there are redundant ADMs one for the pilot and one for the co pilot. When they disagree the aircrew gets an alarm. That alarm was probably the cause of the aborted takeoff.

could the same thing have happened with some of the other accidents?? Do investigators check out the mechanics?? I would be very leery of flying any aircraft with a Muslim mechanic.
in actuality, many jobs that require knowledge and training don't require a college degree and pay well, yet our American boys seem to avoid them....mechanics,electricians,plumbers,builders,technicians of all sorts, truck drivers etc.....
and thus, these recent immigrants get all these jobs....
plus the illegals and the immigrants get a lot of free education in the trades....
Or maybe they could just wrap this guy in one of them flying carpets and release him at 30,000 feet...
