Mother of Charlottesville car attack victim sues murderer

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) — The mother of a woman killed when a man rammed his car through a crowd protesting a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, is suing the convicted murderer for wrongful death.

Susan Bro filed a $12 million lawsuit Aug. 30 against 22-year-old James Alex Fields Jr., who is now serving life sentences plus 419 years on numerous convictions.

The Daily Progress reports Thursday that Bro said she doesn’t want Fields’ “blood money.” She just wants to make sure he can’t profit from selling the rights to his story or publishing a memoir.

I understood at the time this happened that he was Mentally Ill and panicked when surrounded by the Protestors after he hit another Car in an Accident. Was that information correct or just Internet speculation?

Never heard that he intentionally tried to run down Protestors. If he did intend to do so in such a target rich environment, he must have been a terrible Driver.

After that I heard nothing about this until he was Convicted at Trial.

This whole thing stinks to high heaven. Nobody came out of the woodwork protesting the idea that a Mentally Ill Defendant was robbed of his Rights so what’s the story?

What? There was blood on the perp’s car from the impact, how could it have been a heart attack? It was trauma that did her in.

Google it, if any factual articles were left uncensored. Many others were severely injured, broken bones, lacerations. Not Heyer. She was morbidly obese and a chain smoker, and her own mother (who is suing) confirmed she died of cardiac arrest.

The media showed a photo of the woman in teal below. That is not Heyer, but a woman with cuts and bruises. Heyer can strangely be seen in the crowd at left.

Charlottesville was a set up... a protest against tearing down history, was hijacked by ‘community’ leftists organizers of Occupy WallStreet and the hooligans of the left, ANTIFA, just for the purpose of having a ‘rumble’. This kid was not from Charlottesville, and got in over his head. Answering ads on the internet turned out very horribly for him.

The ‘mother’ should be suing the organizers, Terry MacAwful and that OccupyWallStreet organizer.

Why doesn’t she sue the Chief of Police and the Mayor, it was their actions and inactions that led to the clashes in the first place. If they had actually done their jobs of preserving order, they would have kept the two sides apart, but instead decided to “stand-down”. She probably caused more damage to Fields’ Dodge Challenger than the car did to her. Doubt the guy has many assets but maybe the mother can get his Challenger. It should be an easy fix. Almost a buff out. And sure to be better than the Prius she has been piloting for the past fifteen years.

I read the autopsy report. She died of a ruptured thoracic aorta.

Go to c-ville.com and search “Fields” to pull up a lot of articles. C-ville is a lefty local newspaper, so treat it with caution, but there are articles reporting factual testimony at trial about the horrendous damage Fields did to many victims. You can probably find the trial transcripts somewhere online. There is no doubt as to Fields’ motives and his responsibility. Eyewitnesses testified about seeing the woman he killed “flying through the air”. Other victims have had to have multiple surgeries, and their lives were wrecked. Too many folks are in willful denial of what Fields is and the harm he caused. Good on you for wanting to look into the facts.
