The only thing we should give illegal aliens is a bus ticket out of here. Give them a choice: either long term detention in a camp north of the Arctic circle till they fess up where they are from or a quick exit.

The States’ (and nation’s) highways and roads are festooned with ROAD SIGNS. These signs direct, caution, stop, and otherwise try to keep a steady, even and SAFE flow of traffic.
Let us put THOUSANDS of new drivers onto the road, all without the ability to read the ENGLISH language on those signs.
A simple sign (i.D.) LEFT LANE MERGE RIGHT, unread and not understood could and probably has triggered a disaster on the road before and will again. This is insane.

Those licenses should be clearly marked as "Non-Citizen" issues, and should require registered biometric information including fingerprints and DNA codes.
Non-citizens should not be permitted to register for voting.
Non-Citizens caught attempting to register under multiple identities should be immediately deported.
Non-citizens caught driving without a license should be immediately deported.
Repeat offenders should be sent to prison camps for 5 years and then deported.
Non citizens can already have drivers licenses - they’re called resident aliens, aka green card holders.
They are not permitted to register for voting by virtue of not being citizens.
It’s already illegal to register under multiple identities no matter whether you’re a citizen or not.
Resident legal aliens should have the same protections under the law if caught driving without it - this isn’t Nazi germany.
Repeat offenders should be under the jurisdiction of laws that apply to every other non licensed offender.

Non-citizen driver's licenses are identical to those of citizens and the typical DMV under the "motor voter" laws is forbidden to check if the newly registered voter is actually a citizen.
Yes, ineligible foreigners register to vote, and when they do, they vote Democrat. So do all their relatives, who may be naturalized citizens and legal voters. That is why the Democrats passed the "motor voter" laws in the first place.
I have driven vehicles in foreign countries and obeyed all of their traffic laws. Foreigners can do the same here. And if they don't - that is why we have police forces.
We do need to stop the "catch-and-release" policies that get routinely applied to Mexicans.

Massachusetts does not have a legitimate system. The Democrats there want as many registered Democrat voters as they can get, and the illegal alien population is a ready source for them, particularly under the "motor voter" laws Hence the newest proposals.
Yes, I would oppose the Massachusetts proposals for that reason.
But non-citizens with a valid visa should be able to get driver's licenses - if they can pass all the required objective tests. Registered biometrics are an essential component of such issues.
The point is to be able to identify them later if necessary.
The state of California mandates that every driver and vehicle owner must have a state minimum amount of liability insurance coverage. Even drivers with an out-of-state license or no license at all still have to abide by the financial responsibility (insurance) requirements while driving in the state.
However, just as soon as you get the license, you can cancel the insurance and drive without it illegally. And unless you get pulled and checked, no one will know until after you kill someone on the roadway.
You would think to renew, you’d have to produce proof of insurance. Not required. These are the items you have to have:

To renew your driver license by mail, you must be eligible to do so. You will need to be sure that the following apply to you:
Your driver license does not expire more than 60 days from today’s date.
You will not be 70 years old or older when your current driver license expires.
You are not currently on any type of driving probation or suspension.
You have not violated any written promise to appear in court within the past 2 years.
You have not already received 2 consecutive five-year extensions by mail.
You do not have a driver license from more than 1 state/jurisdiction.
You’ll notice not one item there is for proof of insurance. So, like I said, unless you get pulled over, or have an accident where you would need it, you don’t have to have it if you want to take the chance illegally. And I can promise you it’s done all the time as illegal immigrants don’t want to supply an address except to voting documents that can be covered by a post office box.
