Even if one bought that argument, he had still pointed it in her direction and had it in his hand. Manslaughter at least!

I’d like to see all murder prosecutions taken out of states’ hands anyway. Too much local politics and bungling.

I’d have to give that some thought.

We may have to shake things up a bit if for no other reason, jury pools seem to be so tainted these days.

Everyone’s an activist, and if you are against capital punishment, you can destroy a trial by ignoring the evidence and voting to acquit.

Personally, I am not against the death penalty per se, it is the just punishment for murder. HOWEVER, because our criminal justice system is so corrupt from bottom to top, I would be extremely disinclined to vote for the death penalty. Do not think that your local Administration of Justice is just. The corrupt people in DC started in local govt and politics, and were corrupt long before they got to high positions. Everything is corrupt, everything needs good cleaning.

I’m still for the death penalty.

Most of the cases are high profile enough that the process is pretty open.

Now there are instances where people get off due to race. We can look at OJ for instance. He had high powered attorneys who worked their magic.

Just because some people get off and don’t get justice, it doesn’t mean that a person found worthy of capital punishment didn’t receive justice.

One person getting off doesn’t make every person getting justice a person who was cheated.
