PC Term 'Latinx' Had an Outbreak at Vox
Newsbusters ^ | September 2, 2019 | P.J. Gladnick

For those of you hoping that the absurd politically correct word "Latinx" would be laughed out of existence, no such luck. In fact the left continues to more vigorously promote the silly word which basically says that the Spanish language is not PC because so many of its words have endings that indicate gender such as "Latino" or "Latina." The solution is to add an "x" at the end of many such words but with the "x" pronounced the way it is in English rather than Spanish, "equis."

Does any Hispanic person actually use the term "Lantinx?" Hearing (or reading) has me somewhere between cringing and bursting out laughing.

None of the “everyday” Hispanics I know use it. Then again, they are normal working men and women, and not Leftist activists.

I think the gender nonsense will run its course. People know better. It’s ok to say something about it. I figure the pushback will start with sports. US powerlifting is already rejecting it.

It’s a bit off-topic, but why do scientists assume that a neutrino is male? Should the proper term be neutrinx?

I am not sorry for what I am about to say. All this latino crap came across the AFRTS coming out of Bangkok in the ‘70’s while we air force types were stationed there, and it made me sick, complete with the yadayada lingo! Either you are an American, or either a spick or beaner pos!

I don't know much of the language, but is it correct, as I have heard, that it would be practically unpronounceable in Spanish?
