Side not for later: What’s with the misuse of the phrase “active shooter.”

We had a state trooper come in and educate us about “active shooter.” It’s shorthand for any situation where the SWAT cowboys get to come in and act like they’re in a movie.

The media loves that phrase as do the PR people for the law enforcement conglomerate.
