Well, the taxpayers are also the voters who put in this law/regulation, so they are getting the government and school district that they deserve.
I love the fact that this incident has been used to show what red flag laws do. Maybe, maybe, a few people with functioning neurons will figure out that Red Flag laws are the gateway to fascism.

Yep. When bureaucrats screw up, they need to be stripped of sovereign immunity and face the prospect of losing their house, car, bank accounts and retirement benefits. That includes judges and prosecutors.
If there’s no legal mechanism to rein in fascist bureaucrats,then it’s time to reapply our Declaration of Independence to our 21st century Tory and red coat traitors.
