The worst is still to come for Jim Comey
The Hill ^ | August 30, 2019 | Kevin R. Brock

... The Department of Justice Inspector General just fired the first of three cruise missiles trained on Mr. Comey with devastating impact. Comey’s reaction? "Feel free to apologize to me." ...

Next up will be the IG's findings regarding Comey’s truthfulness before the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court and whether he attested to false or misleading statements in order to electronically monitor a presidential campaign. ...

But beyond that, Mr. Durham and his team likely will follow up on emerging indicators that Comey may have colluded with other intelligence community leaders to actually "manufacture" the justification needed for an investigation by targeting covert informants against campaign representatives in violation of established policies and procedures. ...

How can anybody with even the tiniest amount of morality ever be an informant or cooperative with this corrupt bunch of incompetent liars.

Respect is hard won; losing it, it is impossible to regain.

I have seen POTUS make terrible misstatements before and he always retracts or corrects within 24 hours.

But in this case there is a bigger design and it’s not what you assert which is that POTUS is part of the act.

The bigger design is that POTUS wants history to record that it was not he that locked up senior federal leaders and political opponents, it was the judicial branch.

POTUS wants no talk of the USA as a Banana Republic. His direct involvement in the incarceration of political opponents would paint the USA as just that.

The counter-intel group behind Trump has stated in months previous that POTUS would be kept out of it, above the fray.

There is however video of POTUS at his rallies with chants of “Lock her up!”. That could be a problem for history. So we’ll have to see how the script is written.

But the culprits including the hidden ones must not be allowed to go free, This is a war and if they are not thoroughly defeated, they will regroup and come back stronger.

First, John Solomon and others like Sara Carter, Greg Jarret, and Cheryl Atkinson are giants in their investigative journalism. On any rational scale, these four would be revered at a higher level than Woodward and Bernstein in journalism circles.

But spare me any more “it’s a-coming! Indictments and jail time for these Democrat scandal traitors!” pronouncements (I’m looking at YOU, Hannity!). It’s one thing to expose, in great detail, these capital treasonous crimes and foreign attacks, as harsh as any military attack (Detroit, Baltimore, and other cities resembling post-WW2 Euro cities) against the United States. But to continually bray that they will get their comeuppance, then see our DOJ pass on prosecution, most probably because lies perpetuated by the Deep State embeds allow the cover of “no prosecution” position by Barr and upper management, and this is where we are.

This is why in a past post I have lamented the loss of the United States, angering many here, but this is something I saw even before Trump was elected. Yet we still keep on fighting, as we must...

I thought it was Reno but you’re right.

Barr is a bona fide upper west side duck

Educated in totality from kindergarten to masters degree west of Central Park or Amsterdam and east of Riverside and north of Lincoln center

How odd to me having lived there a few years on 85th, 104th and 115th

Very liberal and very Jewish boomer country in my years there yet Barr is at least a conventional conservative albeit soft on firearms he’s strong on executive branch and founding father principles otherwise

Other than guns you’d expect him to have grown up in Alabama ....maybe Indiana

But, according to Gohmert, FBI Director Christopher Wray’s approach seems to be to release as little as possible in a bid to preserve the credibility of the bureau.

Too late for that, The bureau has lost all credibility. It should be eliminated and its law enforcement functions and honest agents transferred to the U. S. Marshals. Maybe the FBI can retain its labs and some investigative function but without arrest or subpoena powers.

Somebody on Twitter made a good point about why the DOJ would decline to prosecute Comey on this particular matter.

If a man murdered his wife and got a DWI, prosecutors would focus their attention on the murder and would not bother prosecuting the DWI first.

Also, the DOJ can always change their mind about prosecuting later. This is not like a "double jeopardy" situation. So long as it is within the statute of limitations window, the DOJ can always come back to this case later and prosecute it.

"The worst is still to come for Jim Comey"

Depends upon how you look at it, I'll aver.

Maybe it will be the worst for him, but it will be the BEST for us and the country...

yada yada, still waiting......scumbags like this are above the law. How will anyone under him catch an indictment, after the corrupt DOJ gave him a free ride on this particular episode?

I'll believe it when it actually happens.

So far they're all still roaming FREE.

> “Expect the FISA Abuse report will make several criminal referrals in three to five weeks.”

Do NOT expect Horowitz to make any criminal referrals. He is part of the DEEP STATE = Senior Federal Employees. He has not the courage to do the right thing. There is no backbone in this coward.

Horowitz will do like he’s always done, produce something that will throw the dogs in a different direction away from him. He will throw red meat to conservatives while giving the traitors a pass.

Horowitz is all about self-preservation. Yes, he’s part of the Deep State but deep-state has become a pejorative pointing to a sort of sinister conspiracy when in reality it just means senior leadership of the federal bureaucracy, nothing more. They are not sinister, they are cowards who learn to survive while counting days to retirement. Very few of them have the fortitude and self-confidence to do the right thing in situations where there is a leadership conflict between political factions.

The ‘deep-state’ has learned instead to do the political thing. Indeed they are a disgrace and if enough of them were to stand up for doing the right thing rather than the political thing, they could change the culture of the Swamp.

But these deep-state employees are full-grown adults and short of a God-given miracle, their characters will not change.

History records the only way such diseased governance cultures are dealt with is through war. War as a diversion, as a civil war. as a coup; these are the remedies. So far, POTUS has avoided the diversionary trysts. We can count on his absolute blockage of any civil war, A coup goes both ways. His enemies have attempted a coup against him and so far they have failed but unless hey are thoroughly destroyed they will be back even stronger.

What’s historically left is Trump’s coup against his enemies, the enemies that attempted a coup against him. But as the positive builder that he is, with dreams of a rich, gleaming America left as his legacy, he averts history to be written that he executed a coup against his political opponents (which they have been fretting and projecting from the beginning).

What’s left is Barr and maybe heightened historical scripts written around Durham, Huber. This makes me shudder because all of these are senior federal employees meaning by definition they are deep-state except that Barr has his retirement already locked up and at his age, there’s not much the criminals can do to him except attack his family. But even if his family is well-defended and kept safe, the question is does he have the persuasive ability and effective authority to make Huber, Durham pay attention? Presumably Barr has an impact on their performance plans which is key to their retirement pensions. But as is the case of McCabe, there are book deals and media slots that will make up for loss of pension.

So it falls to Huber. Durham to do their duty to their country and keep their oaths and if they elect to do that, then it falls to their ability to control their staffs. I can personally attest that the so-call ‘resistance’ is strong inside the federal bureaucracy aka the Swamp. And worse yet, leaders of this resistance have roots in the Weathermen Underground.

I’ll say it again, we are at war whether we like it or not.

You are stating the obvious.

If they go free, Trump goes down. It’s that simple.

So place your bets.
