TOO LATE: Trump Tells MSNBC Weasel O’Donnell To Lawyer Up, Despite ‘Apology’

MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell tried to weasel his way out of reporting fake news about President Trump colluding with Russian oligarchs, by ‘apologizing’ on air Thursday night. However, Eric Trump says it’s too late, and warned O’Donnell that he will face legal action over the slur.

O’Donnell essentially did the bare minimum in an effort to avoid legal consequences, saying “I should not have said it on-air or posted it on Twitter. I was wrong to do so.”

“Last night on this show, I discussed information that wasn’t ready for reporting. I repeated statements a single source told me about the president’s finances and loan documents with Deutsche Bank saying ‘if true’—as I discussed the information – was simply not good enough,” he said.

Most of the world has only heard the slanderous accusation. The Trump’s want to get their “REPLY” out there early, and on every possible venue. Let the whole world see FAKE NEWS get their butts kicked.....and POTUS be vindicated.

The other word the press hides under to spread fake news is “allegedly.”

I don't recall them ever using the word "allegedly" when they reported the Russia lies for more than two years.

It won’t be.

Trump has a history of threatening to sue people and not following through.

Trump (young Trump) better be careful here.
Why?
What are you suggesting?
What do you (think you) know about any of it?

The guy owns hotels and buildings all over the world. He doesn’t seem to be “hiding” them, they pretty much all have “TRUMP” in huge gold letters. Seems to me in about thirty minutes of sleuthing a person could estimate his worth to the nearest Billion. Only people like you and me are “worth” the cash in their pocket. As you know, no “billionaire” is sitting on a vault with billions in it. Your claim just doesn’t make sense to me.

You can take it to the bank that O’Donnell will never be sued.

If a single source can be the basis for a news story, editorial or commentary then virtually anything can be reported.

Absurd.

Do the Dan Rather thing. Push his nose into it so far that no one, including certain Congresswomen, will never, ever want to be caught even whispering such trash to a mediasnake.

"But I don’t get why Eric Trump announced it."

If Trump doesn't file the law suit we'll know why.

He won't. O'Donnell's bogus pseudo-apology is as good as it's going to get - a lawsuit against O'Donnell would mean a discovery process in which O'Donnell's attorneys would have a right to obtain evidence and information relevant to the case. This would turn into a fishing expedition involving Trump's tax returns and other financial information.

Since Trump has attorneys on a retainer the likelihood is high there will be a suit.

Like I said, wake me when he does.

Hopefully maybe the media dolts will quit thinking their fake, lying news will just pass and be responsible for what they say. Not.

"If Trump files a law suit, then you have discovery, which means that the Deutsch Bank would fork over everything they have on Trump. This might include tax returns, loan apps etc."

Not necessarily. If Trump produced the actual loan documents and they show there were no cosigners then that other documentation is not only irrelevant it is not reasonably likely to lead to the discovery of admissible evidence. (the standard for discovery)

I understand your point. However, the issue is not wealth but claimed wealth. There is no denial that Trump is a wealthy man.

After more than 40 years as a subscriber, I cancelled my Forbes subscription because it deserted it’s conservative roots.

However in that time, every year they develop a list of American billionaires. They actually have employees dedicated to the study and development on the actual Trump wealth.

Forbes tells us that Trump and some others always argue that the number reported is significantly less than the actual number.

So, Trump has over the years publically stated his net worth and there was disagreement by the wealth slueths at Forbes. My statement was that the released tax returns could reveal less than Trump’s on record statements.

I heard a rumor that Lawrence O’Donnell was ready to declare bankruptcy - and that his mother worked as a street whore when Lawaence O’Donnell was young. Now, it’s only one source - but IF IT WAS TRUE IT WOULD BE A BOMBSHELL.

Ben Franklin disagreed with slander and libel laws and thought the victim had a right to go physically thrash the person, Evil Knevil did too!!

Trump should win, but in truth, it’s a very very difficult case to prove slander.

Incorrect. It’s not a case of Trump having to prove a negative
