You can still party though
My brother just listed his house for sale in rOmond By The Sea ...
Tired of the storms and the in$surance. Moving up here to N Ga near us.
um .. that would be Ormond
Yeah, shifted north and it looks like it’s heading right for me (Ocala). Hope they keep shifting it north, keep it out at sea...
Oh, yawn.
I understand that these things can be dangerous. It’s just that the relentless hyper-ventilating from the media is tiresome. This morning, Fox News is lathering on the propaganda... “TRUMP UNDER FIRE!” — yeah, how DARE he divert money to the crisis on the border rather than throw it at corrupt officials in the middle of nowhere fighting a genuine rainstorm! That Orange devil!
SIGH.
Category 2 is the best! It’s exciting but not really dangerous.
Agreed. Especially during hurricane season. the weather channel is virtually unwatchable.
My relatives in FL only care about cat 3 and up.
Wheres Jim Cantore when you need a hyperventilating drama queen to report weather?
Same here. Daughter and family in Gainesville won’t leave unless above a Cat 3.
“...hyperventilating drama queen to report weather...”
Now, why does Shep Smith come to mind? In fact, you can drop the word “drama” from that and Shep Smith STILL comes to mind.
Well, I have a very large grandfather oak next to the house that picked up a lean due to the north winds from Irma passing. It’s leaning away from the house but pulled up pool pipes as the lean progressed. I fixed that this spring and braced the tree but my weekend will now be spent re-bracing it in a mosquito swarm for another round of north wind.
“the weather channel is virtually unwatchable”
LOL! You made a funny!
Good luck! I was just there in Ocala and surrounds doing a Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings tour. Beautiful, unusual area of the state.
Just checked up on our resident Freeper in Puerto Rico and he shared that it might hit the VI harder than them there.

*Beautiful, unusual area of the state.*
Its only unusual by todays standards. What you saw is the way it was when I grew up. Lovely, picturesque, quaint. I love visiting there. Always brings back fond memories.
Yes it was. The crackers all almost dead or gone. The state is pretty much gone.
Gulp!!
Center of circulation is breaking and possibly reforming as it is passing east and north-east of PR.
Long load.
