When American climate alarmists claim to have witnessed the effects of global warming, they must be referring to a time beyond 14 years ago. That is because there has been no warming in the United States since at least 2005, according to updated data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
In January 2005, NOAA began recording temperatures at its newly built U.S. Climate Reference Network (USCRN). USCRN includes 114 pristinely maintained temperature stations spaced relatively uniformly across the lower 48 states. NOAA selected locations that were far away from urban and land-development impacts that might artificially taint temperature readings.

There are many levels of WRONG to this.
First off, warming (or not warming) of the continental US is not global.
Second, there are macro-cycles, micro-cycles, and hundreds of other factors that influence global temperatures. A change (or lack there of) since 2005 is not a serious indicator of any sort of trend (or lack thereof).
Third, warming actually happens to be the indisputable overall trend of the last 20,000 years. Warming is the current NATURAL trend (cycle).
So? It is never about climate; it’s about getting rid of beef, farmers, etc. and starving the people into submission.

Given the war with words, I think “climate terrorists” would be more appropriate. They are trying to terrify people for political purposes.
You miss the point - the alarmists are shrieking that human-caused warming has been happening since 2005 - using data corrupted by the increase in urban heating as well as suspect adjustments after data collection. Data from pristine sources shows otherwise. That is why this dataset matters.

Correct, but we are the only country that has the newer sensors placed appropriately. In my city one of the old ones were placed right by the exhaust fan of a Greyhound bus station. I kid you not. So this is an improvement.

Also correct. But it is useful to disprove the wild claims of those who WANT to feed BS to the alarmists during the same time frame.

Personally, I feel like we can’t have it both ways.
When there are micro trends upward in temperature, I argue that it’s natural, as well as a part of larger trends as well as smaller. The main point is that it’s natural.
When there isn’t warming, it’s still natural. As I said, the are far too many factors involved. So if there has been no warming since 2005, that also cannot be used to prove or disprove anthropogenic warming, because it cannot. Neither side can claim the truth.
The only thing we know for sure is that the climate has always been changing.
I was involved in the creation and emplacement of one of these sites, the one on Yuma Proving Ground.
It was chosen to be in a place without development, not threatened by testing activity.
I thought it was a great idea, to have actual data, based on carefully emplaced, maintained, and calibrated sensors.
Everything was done to a higher standard than we used, and our standards were pretty high.
That was 14 years ago. This looks as though my support was justified.
The left is the party of lies, fraud, and deceit.
We win with the truth.
