Wouldn’t the answer be for ALL store owners to CLOSE and Lay Off everyone, and tell them to go see the Mayor if they have a problem

The fact that virile men, who should be on the front lines defending women and children, are out on the streets loitering, getting drunk, doing drugs and unwilling to work is lost on Liberas and is a snapshot of where we are as a culture. Planned Parenthood assassinates 300,000 babies a year, human trafficking is at an all-time high with women and children, and men that should be protecting them are out on the streets f****** around. Oh and the communist politicians in Austin have a plan that has been in force for the last few years that only costs tax payers about $30, 000 per year for each homeless man. Everything they touch turns to dung.

Liberal behavior is to occupy the most attractive locales, drive up property prices and drive out the middle classes who built them, pretend to be virtuous by allowing homeless and criminals to invade and make the it uninhabitable, then move on to the next pristine place and repeat the cycle. They’re like a virus, or an animal that befouls its nest to make it unlivable for any other creature. Wolverines are the only species I can think of offhand that compare.

I kind of enjoy it when Leftist leaders make their Leftist subjects suffer a bit.

the Austin City Council changed the homeless ordinances to allow sitting, lying and camping in more public spaces, including sidewalks.

It should be perfectly clear to any thinking human being whose side they are on.

I own a car wash on a piece of dirt in west Nashville that will likely sell soon for 1.7 to 2 million..no I’m not rich it has a mortgage on it

Problem is it sits on an outparcel with a Lowe’s and WalMart as anchors

Other businesses too

Jim and Nicks bbq

Oil change

Bojangles

Bear in mind posh Belle Meade is a mile or so away and Hillwood West Meade with multi million dollar homes very close

Eric Church and Allen Jackson live very close too on River road

Yet this is Nashville which mimics Austin and Boulder and we have a huge hobo encampment behind Lowe’s by the banks of the Cumberland

It’s called the Trail

A few hundred meth heads and alkies and crazy folks live back there

They have broken into my back vacuum so much I just turned it off

Brazenly on camera

Lowe’s put up a fence but they go around it
W
Cops would help but city won’t do shite

I ate dinner with my daughter in Murfreesboro last week....
Leafy suburban small city about 35 miles southeast

We ate on the square and we’re going to walk around our Bedford Forrest courthouse one a union soldier tried to burn with prisoners in it in 1863....Forrest dispatched him promptly

Anyhow...bums were sleeping on all the benches all camped out with signs begging or already passed out

I think Lebanon and Dickson Andy other surrounding towns have this too

Franklin won’t let them squat there...the cops will pick them up and take them to a mission in Nashville

We desperately need to bring back institutions for crazy folks who wander our streets

Put drug addict and drunk street people in facilities and they will quit their crap

They want to be on the street

It’s a damn nuisance

And this from someone who routinely helps them

Why are hobos allowed to live within city limits...

Been going on for at least 45 years. Back when I lived there in the 70s, the San Antonio cops used to take bums to the north city limits dump them out, and say, "Austin's that way."

(Warning: soliloquy rant follows) The Austin-American Statesman used to have a jerk, John Kelso, who played the "good ole boy" in his columns, writing about pickup trucks, ugly dogs, Willie Nelson, and other crap. He also came out of the woodwork to blast downtown businesses for being cruel to the "homeless." Downtown, guys used to pee on the storefronts, steal shopping carts, etc. Kelso complained that the stores were cruel to the poor people. Course, the Statesman, where he worked, had a camera guarded parking lot, security guys patrolling the perimeter, and a front desk guard. You weren't allowed in without a badge, and you didn't set foot in their parking lot without being confronted.

They were fine with store owners on 6th street having to hose down their storefronts every day cause people were peeing on it the night before, every grocery store downtown going out of business because of shoplifting and stolen grocery carts, and people not being able to walk down the street without being panhandled.

Do they have poop on the sidewalks yet? They are not really a big liberal city unless there is poop on the sidewalks.

Austinites used to be proud of their clean beautiful city. They even spent lots of money to put up artificial moonlight pylons to keep the city safe and pretty.

I guess this will also ruin Barton Springs park and pool

Yes, demonrats from the mayor on down to the dogcatcher. It was the idiot mayor who made the ruling allowing the homeless to camp out in front of anyone’s and any business’ front door. Gov. Abbott is angry about it and is trying to put a stop to it but don’t know if he has much say in city stuff.

Some people are worried about diseases they carry. Also, the poo and general filth which will bring rodents. Austin is the San Francisco of the South.
