Complete decarbonization? If that includes carbon dioxide, all plants will die, because that's what they breathe. DimLibs keep harping about how science trumps everything, then blatantly and unashamedly reveal that they don't know much if anything about it.
And of course when all the plants are dead we will be too. But the truth is, they really don't give a rat about this Green New Deal beyond the fact that it will thoroughly soak all American taxpayers … except congressjerks, naturally.

We will fund a $500 billion effort to research technologies to fully decarbonize industry, and a $150 billion effort to fully decarbonize aviation and maritime shipping and transportation.

What exactly does he mean by decarbonizing an industry? Make planes fly without fuel? A fully electric plane? Is that what he has in mind? A fully electric tanker or cargo ship?

Is it really a good strategy to rely solely on one kind of energy, put all our eggs in the electric basket?

Bernie’s plan: Destroy the USA.

Guess he thinks he won’t be affected by his plan.

But Sanders claims all of that would be paid for in fifteen years from a combination of new taxes and cuts in other government spending.

Send in all your money ... zero DoD funding.

“Collecting new income tax revenue from the 20 million new jobs created by the plan.”

Ah, the Obamacare plan. Remove 20 million jobs from the economy and add 20 million back. Voila! 20 million new jobs.

SOOOO many startlingly obvious lies in this....

No more fossil fuels: “Reaching 100 percent renewable energy for electricity and transportation by no later than 2030 and complete decarbonization by 2050 at latest.”

So, no planes, no shipping, Hawaii is now isolated, the military is as powerful as Portugal's, no international trade aside form Canada and Mexico... genius!!!

Electric cars for everyone: “Provide $2.09 trillion in grants to low- and moderate-income families and small businesses to trade in their fossil fuel-dependent vehicles for new electric vehicles.”

The average electric car costs $50k... even $2T gets only 40m cars... and no word on how those 40m electric cars now find power...
Oh, and $2T is 50% of everything DC hyper-spends every year.

No more diesel trucks: “…we must spend $216 billion to replace all diesel tractor trailer trucks with fast-charging and long-range electric trucks.”

There are 2m semi's on the road today... $216b / 2m = $100k... and fast-charging, long-range semi's simply do not exist (yet?)... LOWER end new semi's cost $100k today, most are closer to $200k... so this new invention will somehow cost the same as the LOW end models?

Decarbonize air travel? “We will fund a $500 billion effort to research technologies to fully decarbonize industry, and a $150 billion effort to fully decarbonize aviation and maritime shipping and transportation.”

Nice that you admit that these don't even exist yet, and yet you're sure they will be perfected and 10,000 units mass-produced in just 10 years?? Boeing makes 50 737s per month... that's 600 per year... you're going to need to double the production of established models with these new, uninvented models, IF you start making them today (when we don't know how yet). SMH

Sue the fossil fuel industry: “These corporations and their executives should not get away with hiding the truth from the American people. They should also pay damages for the destruction they have knowingly caused.”

Leftists always always always revel in vengeance, hatred, and punishment for not being Leftists.

Make the fossil fuel industry illegal by banning offshore drilling, drilling on public lands, fracking, and the import and export of fossil fuels: “We must no longer export any fossil fuels. Our coal and natural gas are contributing to increased emissions abroad. We will also end the importation of fossil fuels to end incentives for extraction around the world.”

Ummmm, if we stop extracting, then prices skyrocket, and we create a MASSIVE incentive for everyone else to produce more... and you cannot intimidate them into compliance, because the military is now as weak as Portugal's. They already took over every American drilling station across the globe, and are laughing when you insist that they still belong to America. Well done, Bern!

Expanding food stamps: “We will expand the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) by $311 billion to increase the benefits from the “thrifty” plan which provides inadequate benefits to the more generous “low-cost” food plan, include those with incomes up to 200 percent of the federal poverty line, remove punitive work requirements, remove barriers for college students to access SNAP, and ensure people are not denied benefits due to past interaction with the criminal justice system.”

It's a human right!!! Why aren't we providing it to those illegals who are unjustly unable to cross our borders without permission?!?!?! We must start those payments to the global poor now now now now now!!!

Making the fossil fuel industry pay for their pollution, through litigation, fees, and taxes, and eliminating federal fossil fuel subsidies.

Ummmm... if they cannot produce oil and coal, where will that money come from? They don't have a gold pile with Scrooge McDuck sitting on top...

Generating revenue from the wholesale of energy produced by the regional Power Marketing Authorities. Revenues will be collected from 2023-2035,

Electricity is already produced and sold by regulated sellers. There is no "addition" to their revenues simply by changing the type of electricity generation. That gain is ZERO, and much much much more likely to be a revenue loss.

and after 2035 electricity will be virtually free, aside from operations and maintenance costs.

Sooooo... shedding the most efficient production methods, forcing more unreliable and inefficient methods, increasing demand with millions of electric cars... will make it all zero-cost somehow???? You can't make up this kind of abject stupidity. Only experts can create it.

Scaling back military spending on maintaining global oil dependence.

Soooo... we only have a military to protect oil resources, despite the fact that we are a net exporter... amazing...

Collecting new income tax revenue from the 20 million new jobs created by the plan.

Ignoring the 40 million jobs lost, of course.

Making the wealthy and large corporations pay their fair share.

Yeah, ummm....Bern? The wealthy and the large corporations are not located in the US anymore. They moved. The wealthy folks are living well in the Caribbean, and the corporations are now based in other nations. They do some business here, but since the Sanders Economy was a total collapse, they don't have too many customers anymore. Hyperinflation does tend to have that effect.

If my math is right, that’s over $50,000.00 in additional debt for every man, woman and child in America.

On top of what’s already owed and promised.

This only became common in the last few years, about the time TV pundits began every answer with ‘So.’

Yes, isn't that annoying?

Again let me thank the good voters of Vermont for enabling this doofus for the past 30!+ years!

This why the Founding Fathers did not want direct election of US senators!
