Just went to an airshow a couple of weeks back. They had 11 F4U corsairs flying. Doesn’t sound all that impressive until you realize there are only 22 in flying condition in the whole world.

Waste of time and fuel flying over a portion of NY that hates our armed forces.

The Blue Angels, Red Arrow's, a few F-35's and F-22's were just here in Chicago last weekend for the Air and Water Show.

Unfortunately the weather was less than cooperative so all we saw were some fly-by's of each. Still, it was darn impressive to see them all and I'll say this: those F-35's and F-22's are sure noisy! Damn, it vibrated right through us on the boat while we were out on Lake Michigan.

Hope the weather for this event is much, much better than we had in Chicago. I'm pretty sure the pilots were as disappointed as we were with the weather although the low fly-by's made for some good video and great pictures!
