Only a handful of people showed up for a controversial rally on Friday night in North Philadelphia to support Maurice Hill, the alleged gunman accused of shooting six Philadelphia police officers. Organizers were expecting 200 to 300 people at the rally.
Earlier in the day, Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross said police would have to be there.
Sadly, we do have to be there, I dont understand it. Theres certain marches I do understand, this is definitely not one of them, Ross said.
Hill is still in jail right now while he waits to be arraigned.
Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner said Thursday Hill will most likely face charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault, among others.
There will be a lot of charges. These are more than enough charges so that Mr. Maurice Hill may never exit jail, Krasner said.
All six police officers suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were released from the hospital Wednesday night.

Maybe the 200 to 300 they expected to show up are tired of living in fear for their lives because of people like this.
Which Dem candidates were there?
I thought there was a report here yesterday that he attends a radical mosque
Hill likely already submitted to Islam. He has been going to a radical (is there any other kind?) mosque for some time, according to reports.
They were perhaps hoping this thing will turn into another Mumia thing; so far, not much luck.
A HANDFUL??? I thought the mediapukes were reporting as of yesterday that hundreds were expected...FAKENEWS!!
So what is the rationale for “supporting” Maurice Hill?
Of course they support him. The eternal battle between good an devil has two sides, and the democrats have chosen the side with bigger numbers, the side that loves murderers and drug dealers.
Why no number? Is a handful still too many for them to count? Were there 8? 10? 15? Or less?
Gee, OCommie Holder Fatso Lynch, Jarrett mustve list the magic touch of community organizing.
They mean by “handful” the brains of the total crowd would not even amount to a handful.
Was Larry Krasner there? - after all, his supporters were chanting “F*ck the police” at his victory party the night of his election.......
I shudder to think what this country has become.
Ia Mumia still alive after murdering Daniel Faulkner? He murdered Officer Faulkner in 1981. And we wonder why some of our citizens have no faith in our justice system.
