Proposal: Go kick Irans butt, make them cough up all bank accounts holding our $150B Obama stash, and buy Greenland with it. Oh, free their students like we should have by now.

It is a great idea. It is strategic terrortory for US interests and it threatens no other country. It is probably rich in natural resources yet to be discovered. It has developable land; rroom to expand. It is not crowded. It has not yet become corrupted. Pioneers will see incentives to go there.
IT IS A GREAT IDEA. MAKE GREENLAND GREAT! GO FOR IT.

Too bad the WSJ has a carrier/circulation problem it cannot solve. If there were a smart proposal I would re-subscribe immediately.

I think it’s a great idea. With global warming, it will be a great vacation destination some day. A Florida in the north.

Better look under the hood. Why pay land prices for a bunch of water.
Would make a lovely global warming destination though.

Great idea—every US land purchase has been a big winner.
Best news—at the rate of inflation (if you run the numbers for a hundred years) we have paid effectively nothing.
Can we give Manhattan back in some sort of swap?

It would be incredibly brilliant for the U.S. to buy Greenland. For $116B we could wipe out Denmark’s entire national debt. Inexpensive for us and game changing for Denmark.
