The Modesto City Council has passed an urgency ordinance that bans the wearing of masks and possessing bricks, glass bottles, chains, pepper spray, knives, metal pipes and similar items that can be used as weapons at protests that could turn violent.
The Police Department asked for this ordinance ahead of the proposed Aug. 24 straight pride rally in Modesto that city officials say could draw hundreds of protesters and counter-protesters and has the potential for the type of clashes seen at other demonstrations in cities across the state and nation.
Council members voted 7-0 on Tuesday night for the ordinance, but not before Mayor Ted Brandvold was accused of hijacking the ordinance by making it about the Second Amendment and gun rights, though a former councilwoman said the mayor was protecting residents from governmental overreach.
The original urgency ordinance the city posted to its website Friday afternoon included banning firearms from demonstrations, rallies, protests and similar public assemblies. But the ordinance approved by the council did not include firearms.

The city council is smart about what the lefe will do at a straight pride event. They are going about how to fix it wrong.

What kind of degenerate would attack someone for having pride in being “straight”?
Under what insane notion can someone justify protesting a straight pride celebration?
The ban on masks is long overdue. It emboldens thuggery.
It will not be enforced evenly, though.
It will be enforced selectively.
The liberal view is that it is hateful and bigoted against the homosexuals, to have a straight pride parade.
Gay pride parades are ok, straight pride parades are hateful per the liberals.
Someone told me that organizations which espouse the traditional family are bigoted. So organizations such as “Focus on the Family” and “Family Research Council” are then considered hate groups.
I never understand the liberal reasoning but that’s what they think..
It sounds like there’s a lot of interpretation in this ordinance. Unless everything is specifically defined it will be contorted to however they want to use it in the future.
I hear a lot of “That’s not what we mean.” by the council.
The NWO loves genetic dead-ends. And celebrates pride in it.
These breeders must be stopped.
