After watching him say it in his own words - and seeing his eyes - I believe that this movie serves one purpose.
Though what I have seen is that they cancelled it, I believe that they will release it later after the heat is off from the shootings by the 2 leftist terrorists in El Paso & Dayton.
They will not be the last shootings which destroy their narrative.

Term Limits was about a hit squad that was killing various senators and congress people who were signing off on an ill-advised budget. The kill squad referred to their victims as having been "term limited". The story gets complicated as the left starts "term-limiting" congresscitters as well. What made the book disturbing was that it made the original squad of killers seem like the good guys. As a reader, it was easy to see what motivated them, but I felt it was wrong to make guys who were committing assassinations seem good. This Hunt film seems to play on similar emotions, but for the left.
Jason Blum is a major Hollywood producer who specializes in the low budget horror genre.
If memory serves me, he worked for decades as a buyer / producer for some major studios like Universal and left to form Blumhouse riding on the success of Paranormal Activity.
He had been one of many producers who turned down Blair Witch Project only to regret that its clever marketing angle turned it into a highly-profitable film which happened to cost next-to-nothing to make. (Blair invented the “found footage” gimmick.)
When Blum saw Paranormal he knew he didn’t want to repeat the mistake he made on Blair. The investment paid off. He’s figured out a highly-successful formula to making huge profits from low budget (by Hollywood standards) films.
Unfortunately, like most of Hollywood, Blum appears to be very politically left and anti-Trump.
I generally stay away from Chop & Drop movies like that alludes to. Some (normal seeming) folks can’t get enough Tarrantino style films, not me. Now, reading about it in a novel is a different story, depending on the author or the approach.
During the GWB administration, this became normalized to a degree never seen before. It festered because nobody well known was arrested or heavily fined for breaking the law.
Karl Rove convinced W. to keep on turning that other cheek.
That practice only made the GOP look weak. Some GOP-e think we deserve to be treated that way.

I looked the movie up on IMDB, and it looks like an all-white cast, and the only names I recognized were Amy Madigan and Hilary Swank. I think it must have been pretty low budget.
In a way, it’s alerady pretty much been done, except that the elites got “the deplorables” to kill each other for sport. It was called “The Hunger Games.”
A disgusting concept. And not a single leftist understood what it was about. Not a one.
