I have personal knowledge of the case. The Feds didn’t try him on the illegals because they didn’t want a precedent of hard time for hiring illegals.

The bank fraud stuff was kind of a joke. He did more than hire illegals. He was involved with selling US visas overseas and having illegals assume the identity of legal visa holders, and other weird stuff. There was doubt about how much he knew exactly, but for sure he cooperated with illegality.

His commutation came because there wasn’t any other example of anyone getting such a sentence for what he was charged with.

I have to say liberals DO have a valid argument on this point. Many ask why isn’t Trump going after the employers? I think that is a good question.
