There are just so many layers to peel back on this gif.
Biden's assault weapons ban editorial in the NYT, I listened to some of this 2013 remarks. What was astounding was how far left Joe has lurched in six years.
11:55. Biden points out that 25 people are killed in a homicide every day, equal to the third largest mass shooting (at that time).
14:35. "Well folks, we can no longer, continue to define deviancy down."
17:42: in explaining the first in a set of principles upon which the Obama Admin and 200+ groups agreed, was "there IS a Second Amendment."
18:50: "this isn't just about guns...this is about the coursing (I think he means the coarsening) of our culture."
19:45: Biden goes on a relatively normal and positive discussion of gun owners and the "culture" (including a very funny scene at 21:15 of Joe shooting an imaginary shotgun).
25:20: Biden raises mental health as a possible reason to deny firearms ownership.
Now, not everything is perfect. He IS A Dem after all. Further...
34:35 Biden misquote Jefferson saying "the tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots"
34:57 Biden incorrectly notes you can't buy a flamethrower
But hopefully you get the point. While Joe wasn't sounding like a Republican in 2013, his comments then vs today say less about how Joe has "woke" and more about how far left the Dems have driven.
Biden hasn’t moved anywhere.
He’ll say whatever he thinks will help him advance politically at the moment.
Now, the other clowns are going big on gun control. He feels he has to keep up. It is likely to be a plank in the Dem platform.
Go Crazy Joe!
An idiot.
An A$$hole
Brain dead.
Insanely progressive,
As likable as a greasy playground pervert in a trenchcoat.
He couldn't win the presidency if he ran against Pennywise the Clown from It,
I Hate Clowns!
