No, the Bible does NOT tell us the age of the earth in any way, shape or form.
“A day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years like a day.” Does that sound familiar?
We have no concept of the length of time G_d took to create life on earth, nor any concept of how long He directed further life changes before our arrival.
In fact, time itself did not exist in any form until WE humans imagined it into existence, since there was no way for it to be experienced by sentients like ourselves.
Very well put.
I do not think God sees it that way.
God promises, and God delivers, but we are not always able to understand how and why it is happening.
Perhaps God created time for our benefit, so that we might measure it for a reckoning. If you believe God has no beginning and no end, in other words, infinite, indescribable, and omnipotent, then I suspect it has no relevance to Him.
That's an interesting thought, and in fact, I personally believe that time and form do not exist, except as concepts Man uses to make sense of the physical cosmos. And they confound his ability to comprehend the other world, and God Himself.
