I have had my own fight with PayPal which PP won, I suppose. I paid for an item on EBAY with my credit card and declined PPs offer(actually a demand) that I use PP Credit. The price came out of my VISA account immediately. 3 months later PP sent me a demand to pay my delinquent account. I hassled with their robot-like live customer service rep but he only repeated the line that I must pay. As I did not want to be cut off from EBAY I paid again, (it was only 30 dollars) with VISA but PP declined the payment and informed me that I must pay it by check in the assigned monthly installments of $5. I never buy anything in installments, even teensy installments. I wrote a check for the whole amount and they sent it back and repeated the demand for monthly payments, and this time wanted certified checks. Eventually they sent it to Collections and I settled with Collections for $15. I have not heard from PP again. I have never dealt with EBAY or PP again. I suspect many small amount users get this treatment and PP actually makes considerable extra money from fraudulently nickel and diming folks.
Same here. I get roughly a third of my income through PayPal, YouTube and Patreon. I am not going to "Cut off my nose to spite my face". But if viable alternatives come along I will switch in a heartbeat.
PayPal has always been a bad company. Their “terms of service” are a mess of bad for the customer rules.
I deleted my account, and closed my BOA account the same week. They have no real consumer protections, and are active in working against freedom loving Americans.
Much like BOA is in total support of illegal immigration and active in working against the USA and what it stands for. PayPal is not interested in anything but using you and your money, and this is one of the minor things they are involved in. DUMP them if you haven’t already.
So ALL the internet giants are now enforcing the dogma of the left. I’m sure George Orwell would be impressed at the creative ways freedom of thought are being taken away.
Sorry to hear about your ordeal with them. They are definitely a garbage company.
We should all “deplatform” them by closing our accounts and telling them why. Then someone needs to set up an alternative.
So enforce them.
