US Treasury Dept. designates China a currency manipulator.
I see your check and raise you.
Here’s Mitt Romney in 2012 saying he would declare China a currency manipulator and impose tariffs:

so what’s that mean?
What exactly are the implications here?
Shall the US Govt engage in a massive ‘sell Dollars/buy Yuan’ scheme to shore up the offshore currency?
Simply raise tariffs by a commensurate amount?
Could this be the beginnings of a shooting war?
That’s a 4-bet. Trump knows he’s holding the nuts.
Add George Sorros and get a two-fer.
so whats that mean?

I would guess it means President Trump just won another battle in the Trade War.
The posters are absolute commies.

This can only mean ...... CHINESE COLLUSION!!
Film at 11. On CNN. And MSNBC.
WTO action?
On the road to expulsion?
I don’t know if that means “won” - certainly he just laid down another... “trump”... card... :)
But I’m not sure what this actually does.
I think this is the end of any disarmament deal with N. Korea, unless Kim has enough cojones to break with China and come on over to a new alliance with S. Korea and the US, or unless China blinks. That is quite a high-stakes, long-shot gambit.
‘bout effing time
Justification for another round of tariffs?
It’s means China gets kicked out of WTO and we win.
Trump is only trying to get them to do WHAT THEY HAD ALREADY AGREED TO
This is moving quicker than I thought it would.
Must have really touched a nerve.
Four things in our favor here:
1) China cannot feed itself
2) China has an export economy....they will drown in cheap consumer goods they can’t eat.
3) They have been exercising everything they could to squeeze us for 30+ years. They have nothing left to squeeze except the last drop of their blood from their currency.
4) They know they are militarily inferior.
