Why you shouldn’t worry about the DOJ not prosecuting Comey on leaked memos
American Thinker ^ | 08/03/2019 | Thomas Lifson

Lots of conservatives are understandably upset that the IG Horowitz’s criminal referral of James Comey for leaking classified memos memorializing his conversations with President Trump is not being prosecuted by the Department of Justice. It eerily reminds us of James Comey exonerating Hillary Clinton for her prima facie violations of the Espionage Act because he could perceive no criminal intent (which is unnecessary for gross negligence to apply).

We’ve been suckered before, so cynicism is warranted. Tucker Carlson opened his show last night making this point:

But there is more – much more – to the story this time. The case against Comey for leaking is weaker and less serious than his signing of the FISA warrant applications that corruptly cited the Steele Dossier, even though it was known to be unverified. IG Horowitz has a separate report coming on that, and US Attorney John Durham is reportedly working on prosecuting that.

Watch two very distinguished, high profile attorneys – Joe di Genova and Alan Dershowitz -- discuss this with Laura Ingraham. And as you do, imagine to potential consequences of taking as the first case against Comey a prosecution that could well be lost. Once a prosecution fails, the calls to drop the “political motivated persecution” would be legion. I is important that the first case taken to a jury be rock-solid and serious.

No actually you can’t. I on the other hand can. Remember when Clinton was supposed to go down? Both of them? Gore? Obama? Holder? In the end these high ranking government people are a team. They do NOT take each other down. Period.

I don’t “worry” over the fact Comey evaded prosecution; I always expect these swamp elites to go unscathed. They simply glide above the laws that govern the commoners.

Pathetic is not recognizing the truth. Don’t feel sorry for me. You’re the one tilting at windmills. I’m the one whose predictions always come true. I said Comey would never go down years ago. And here I am right. Only thing I failed to do was put money on it.

Why should we worry? We had a treasonous, foreign born America hating racist in office for 8 years. We've seen the hildebeast skate on her crimes. The RAT party has literally stolen election after election with barely a whimper from the balless spineless Repugnants in Congress. Fascist terrorists masquerading as "antifa" and "black lives matter" wreak havoc with impunity. America has been literally overrun with our enemies from the third world and nobody, nobody in authority gives a rat's rip.

In light of all the above, why would we be concerned about "justice", Comey, etc? /extreme s

It is hard ta accept we are being ruled. We were once a proud people who have turned into sheeple. The two-tiered justice system is out in the open now for all the sheeple to graze on and mew their faux lamentations..

Of course it’s been that way forever. Every once in a while you somebody in the privileged class REALLY screw the pooch and go down. And usually what gets them isn’t what they did, it’s how they flaunted it. Which seems to give people hope. People forget their Latin roots. People of privilege have private laws, it’s right there in the word. They don’t go down, except for the occasional sacrifice.

Everyone is getting a free pass. Once they take the senate and presidency again, we’re screwed. They will try to send all Trump supporters to the poverty class as reparations. “Hey Mr. Employer, did you know that X posted comments in support of President Trump? Could be bad for business.” The NSA/Google/Big tech has all that data.

I’ll wait until this thing plays out before beating my breast thank you.

Hyperbolic cynicism is as much a mental disease as “Don Quixote syndrome”....I aspire to neither.

Barr has been quite adept at handling the AG’s office for 5 months especially considering the disaster he took over. He understands the deep state, know how it works and even how to manipulate it to his advantage without being a part of it.

Trump has faith in him and I trust his judgment on this one. I’ll give him 6 months before wailing at the moon that there is no justice in the world and never will be.

That makes sense. I hope it goes down in some fashion like you describe. Justice delayed is justice that seems like ain’t never gonna happen.

There is another real world reason.

No matter how large the organization, there is always a limit to available esources.

The DOJ has many good people, but only the exceptional lawyers and prosecutors should b working on any of these cases.

Assigning either the best or just adequate people to any of these cases would be foolish. The best are needed on the big items such as the FISA warrants, conspiracy with foreign governments, etc.. It would be a catastrophe to bungle those.

And losing the secret documents case would be a bad precedent. Remember there are others guilty of the same charges.

To simplify the picture: Imagine a guy accused of murdering his mother, but during his escape he kicked the neighbor’s dog. Both a crime and both with zero defense.

Which case do you put your best people on? Kicking the dog?

Divulging secret info is very serious and certainly not equivalent to kicking the dog, but Comey is guilty of far more serious crimes than disclosing secret information.

Comey and his gang has sown the seeds and nurtured the growth of events that threaten the our rule of law, the justice system and the existence of our country and our way of life.

How about we nuke DC, pave over the ashes and start all over again. What “government “ we have not only isn’t working but is openly hostile to we the people. I have faith in President Trump but he is only one man against the most vicious bureaucracy in the history of mankind. We need a truly new start. Keep President Trump and lose everything else and start over.

It’s already played out. He will not go down. No hyperbole. No cynicism. This is reality. This is the reality we live in. People at this level don’t pay, because the people in charge of making them pay don’t want to pay for what they’re doing. It’s really just that simple. Barr knows that something he’s doing is breaking some law somewhere, he might not know what and which and law, but there’s a mathematical certainty in this world that you’re always doing something illegal. If Barr takes down Comey then that makes him fair game the next time a Dem president appoints an AG. It really is just that simple. No wailing, just paying attention to history. How many of the people you were sure were going down in the last 25 years or so have? Probably 0. Cause that’s how things work.

Has the FISA Court done anything about being lied to? No. Given that Barr isn’t going to anything either, unfortunately. The Deep State are playing a beltway shell game right now.

Nope. Not presumptuous. And YOU told me what you’re thinking. All I do is pay attention. Both to history and what people say. Not a legend. Just using my head for something other than a hat rack.
