North Carolina's state health department is barred from allowing public funds to pay for conversion therapy for minors, a controversial practice aimed at changing young LGBT people's sexual orientations, under an order signed Friday by Gov. Roy Cooper.
Advocacy groups praised the Democratic governor's executive order as a pioneering step to restrict the therapy in the U.S. South.

There are areas of liberal junk here ( Asheville, etc) but for the most part these good people of NC have old fashion common sense and a heightened awareness of Biblical teaching!
Just consider this a preview of what it will be like when the US switches to some form of full government control of health.

Good news - doing the “therapy” on prepubescent kids is an obscenity...if parents want to harm their kids this way, let them pay for it.
If Asheville was the only island of liberalism in NC, Cooper would not be governor.

I think part of the liberal argument is that such therapy isn't effective. However, "Bisexuality immediately doubles your chances for a date on Saturday night." (Old Woody Allen joke). If therapy were effective, it would decrease the size of a group that votes mostly for Democrats.

Maybe I read it wrong - I thought it was about paying to have the young kids undergo transexual therapy...

the left’s “therapy” on children, exposing them to homosexual ideas during the first years of schooling, is criminal - it is the promotion of debauchery.

During the 2016 election .....as much as locals wanted to vote for Donald Trump they would come into Republican headquarters apologizing because they were registered Democrat...(long standing tradition these parts)

He won using the Dems fool-proof plan. They waited until the counties who voted heavily to re-elect Republican governor McCrory were all in while leaving the polls in heavily Democrat Durham County open long past the time when they were supposed to close. Once they knew that Cooper had enough votes to withstand a recount, the polls closed. I could not believe that this was actually going on in my state, but it absolutely did! He has been a HORRIBLE governor!
The damage in the first two years was mitigated because the Republicans had a veto-proof majority in both houses, but after 2018, their majority is not as high. Right now, Cooper has been holding up a state budget containing raises for state employees, COLA for retirees, and, most important, badly needed Hurricane Florence relief-all because it does not contain his pet project, Medicaid expansion. They need just one more vote to override his veto, and, rumor has it, he is threatening to fund the opponent of a legislator who really wants to vote what is best for her constituents. He is a real low-life!

You have misunderstood. This Dem governor is supporting a bad thing.
He is banning help for vulnerable children.
Yep! Sterilize the young, kill the old and infirm. Kill the afflicted. Only those approved by Government will have children. Hell, only those approved by the Government will live. This is the World the Snowflakes dream of. It is a World that few, if any of them will survive. But they will find out that soon enough.
