Glad to see Teen pregnancies are down!
This news comes after a separate report revealed that the nations total fertility rate was beneath what is needed for the population to replace itself.
And would politicians ever use this information, to declare that we need illegal aliens to pump up the population????
My daughter in law is having a dickens of a time getting pregnant. She wants a baby so badly too. Sadly so many get pregnant and abort their babies. So unfair.
And why would the population need to replace itself? We already have far too many people and all the problems associated with that. . . . crime drugs density traffic pollution loss of habitat
Importing Third Worlders only multiplies the problems
Feminism ?
Is this really “fertility” rates or live birth rates?
Good question. It seems to be a truism that we should want to see the population growing.
Is it because many places in America where population has declined also tend to have social/economic problems, that people believe the population should always be growing? I don’t know the answer but that’s the sort of talk I’ve heard.
Fertility rates fall to all-time low because there isn’t that much to work with now days.
Tell her to cut CHICKEN out of her and her husband’s diet for the next 2+ months
CHICKEN has very high estrogen levels. This can give a light ‘pill’ effect as well as cut sperm counts in men.
This is actually a world wide phenomenon.
Nearly half the world’s nations now have birth rates below replacement level.
Birth rates began decreasing early in the 19th century in the western world and the process moved from there as economic development spread around the world.
The highest birth rates are confined mostly to sub saharan Africa but are actually lower than what they were in the United States in the early 1800’s.
Many nations are in danger of population implosion, especially those where birth rates have declined most dramatically, eg, China.
This fall in births has been a fact fro some time. Just like Japan and much of Europe, much of the population is taking a pass on large families.
You can point to-alarmist “climate doom” propaganda, the ZPG folks - who are still very active - and the current tax structure.
Bottom line, small families, if folks have any children at all....
Not all gloom and doom - with automation growing into society daily, fewer people are needed to maintain a working economy.
It’s all good until the remaining citizen get buried under a wave of illegals.
We need stable families to have 3 kids for continued growth. Not happening.
I’ve manager to bring 4x spawn into this world, so don’t look at me.
We saw a specialist and it turned out to be a weird little curve at the end of the vaginal canal, easily solved by slight change in position.
She was pregnant a month later and for 27 of the next 44 months (61% of the time). Everyone is different, but sometimes it is the simplest of things.
I'm not sure what the CDC is doing reporting on this. Pregnancy is a natural (and temporary) condition; it is not a disease.
Is this really fertility rates or live birth rates?
I get confused by the terminology. An actual “fertility” rate should measure the quantity of females who are “fertile” or in child bearing years. I’ve heard “ferility rate” and “birth rate” used interchangeably. But I don’t know if that’s how professional demographers use those terms.
I liked this country and my city waaaay better before we had all this ‘population’. Was a much safer, less hectic place. And everyone knew everyone else.
And still Ivanka is pushing women into the workforce.
