I think there is one of these cat/coffee places in downtown Omaha. IIRC, they charge something like $7/30 minutes (PLUS your coffee or beverage price), to let you spend time in the room with the cats.

Interesting concept, but wonder whether it can stay in business.

That sounds a little steep for Omaha, well more than they charge in Tokyo. There must be a subset of crazy cat ladies with the money to keep them in business.

Our family cat (adopted when my daughter & family got transferred to Tokyo by her company) clearly favors my wife. But she will come and greet me before I leave for work in the morning, usually. I miss it when she doesn't. Kitties are such appreciate creatures.
