Deutschland über alles: The Fourth Reich picks a new Führer.

No sane person could have witnessed the coronation this week of the new grand poobah of the European Union without recognizing just how utterly undemocratic – and dangerous – this institution is.

Her name is Ursula von der Leyen, a name that instantly communicates two important facts: (1) she is German; (2) she is a member of a hereditary elite.

To be sure, the “von” is courtesy of her husband, who belongs to an aristocratic family. But her own blood also runs blue. In addition to having a tony Teutonic lineage – she was born into the patrician Albrecht clan – she’s descended from a couple of the biggest slave traders in the American South. Her grandfather, Carl Albrecht, was a psychologist famous for his studies of “mystical consciousness.” Her father, Ernst Albrecht, was one of the very first bureaucrats to tread the corridors of power in what would later become the European Union

Raised in Belgium, von der Leyen studied in Germany and Britain, and lived for a while in the U.S., along the way picking up degrees in economics and public health and also becoming a gynecologist. But she eventually settled on politics, hitching her wagon to Angela Merkel and climbing the ladder of power in Germany, getting herself elected to the Bundestag and serving in turn as Minister of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women, and Youth; Minister of Labor and Social Affairs; and Minister of Defense. In the last-named position, she didn’t exactly cover herself in glory: as President Trump has pointed out, Germany has consistently failed to pull its weight in NATO; British journalist Andrew Neil recently referred to her as a “failed” Defense Minister and as “the second most unpopular politician in Germany.”

It’s not her lineage that is the issue.

There are 10s of millions of good Germans. And among them some of the greatest artists and scientists the world has ever known.

It’s her politics that are offensive.

Unless you figure in the aristocratic attitude that comes with that lineage. If there is one. The old “Do you KNOW who I am.” syndrome.

It isn't just the Euro elite thugs and UK elite thugs, it is around the world:

Mexico’s Presidential el Constiquesidor First family!

Mexico's First Family Facebook

Angelica Rivera, First Lady of Mexico, has shared precious family photo of the whole presidential clan across social media. In the photo we can see Paulina, Nicole y Alejandro Peña Pretelini, the "Destialndo Amor" star as well as Sofía,Fernanda y Regina Castro. She also took the opportunity to share some of the values that make her family what it is, reavealing some of the sweetest moments of her husband, Enrique Peña Nieto, from the comfort of their home. The photo was shared on her Facebook account and has over 92,000 likes.

The image really speaks for itself: a warm, close-knit family of 6. But Angélica Rivera emphasised the familial harmony that she and the Mexican President have created. "To have a family," she writes, "it is built and worked on with love everyday. As parents, let us be an example of harmony and peace to our children." The political beauty also published a photo on Facebook, in which President Peña Nieto can be seen taking time out from running the country to share a moment with the littlest member of the family, Regina. "He always finds time to be near us. Today, after dinner, talking with Regis."

The first lady's Facebook wall is indeed filled with images from her travels with her husband around the worlds, as well as intimate family moments of presidential life. The former actress is credited as being instrumental to Peña Nieto's election campaign.

Note the lack of Brown skin Mexicans in this photo!

Odd how our corrupt press isn't all over Germany for not supporting NATO... I guess the boys at the Washington Post are so stupid they don't know actions speak louder than words...

“And among them some of the greatest artists and scientists the world has ever known.”

Absolutely the core of what we regard as ‘progress’ is made up of a long list of Germans, and particularly German Jews !

To be sure, the “von” is courtesy of her husband, who belongs to an aristocratic family.

Pre-1919 Von was a nobiliary particle indicating a noble lineage ie: Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen (The WW1 Red Baron) was what was called a 'free lord'. After that period the Von was and still is used in a name to indicate the person is 'from' or 'of' a geographical location.

My birth name is Clayton Manfred Lorenzo Von Schnakenburg and in this case just defines my family name is from the town in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district, in Lower Saxony, Germany.

We once knew a young German and his wife who had a “von” name. He was the German equivalent of a baron and was an active Luftwaffe fighter pilot among other things. He subsequently retired to run his father’s factories in Germany (they have to retire as fighter pilots at some absurdly young age). Both very nice people. This was some 30 years ago.

I highly recommend when posting anything about the EU that it should be as follows:
