Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, the second-largest teachers' labor union in the nation, said illegal immigration makes America's public school system "stronger" by bringing more diversity. She attributed overcrowding to charter schools, austerity, and privatization.
Some school districts are grappling with classroom overcrowding and English proficiency issues among their student populations. Undocumented immigrants are able to enroll their children in public schools regardless of their immigration status or the status of the parents.

On Sunday, my wife had brunch with several friends who have children in kindergarten or early elementary school. All of them live in a nearby densely packed suburb here in our county, which is a “sanctuary” for illegal immigrants in all but name.
Every single friend confessed that they and their husbands plan to sell their homes and move to other areas of the county because “the schools have gotten so bad.”
All of these nice, liberal-signaling people are uprooting their entire lives to get their kids into better schools, but they can never speak the reason aloud.

People who pay school taxes should be outraged.
Tell that to the Upper West Side Limousine Liberals and Woke White parents in Brooklyn whom vehemently oppose bringing in brown children to their NYC public schools.
Jamming a bunch of foreign kids who don’t speak English into classrooms is detrimental to American kids.
Period.

God forbid we have competition and fiscal restraint in this country...
Diversity does NOT make any society stronger.
It creates faultlines along which society will shatter when stressed.
A ‘melting pot’ might prevent this and allow us to extract some useful or entertaining qualities from immigrants’ cultures while avoiding division and monoculture, but, these days, that metaphor is considered ‘racist.’

Either they don’t teach basic arithmetic any more (Crowding = Number Students/Number of Classrooms), or there’s some new math going on here.
It is amazing leftists can spout such lies and get away with it.
I have a friend here is Texas with a disabled child. She has been notified her son’s class size will increase from 18 to26 next year since the district needs to hire more ESL teachers due to illegals flooding the schools and can’t afford to hire another special needs teacher.
So taxpayers suffer at the expense of illegals.
And a lot of these kids of illegals are ignorant in their own language. They cant do math or read/write in Spanish.
So now the teachers have to teach to uneducated non English students at the expense of English speaking kids who are ready to learn.
The teachers ought to be bitching to their union president.

Class overcrowding was (until today) one of the number one complaints by teachers unions.

Well, that isn’t entirely accurate. The people at the tower of Babal at least had commonality in that they were all came from the people living at the base. They had commonality.
These people don’t have commonality with us.
Those from Mogadishu, Sudan don’t. They have been raised since birth to think of the U. S. as an evil decadent Western nation.
The same is true with many others we allow in today.
People from Mexico aren’t coming here to be good citizens. They are coming here to stick their hand out.

My children sat reading books in the third grade for half the day, while the rest of the class was taught the English any kid coming into grade school should already know.
That same diversity exists today, stealing class time from our U. S. Citizen children.
They steal other resources in the process.

This women and people like her do not have a clue about what is happening. She spouts all the causes that her union is against as the reason for overcrowding. The increase in student populations that is unplanned for when all these students suddenly appear and demand services is the cause. She never met a crisis that she did not want to use and exploit.
It is not only overcrowding but resources must be shifted from American kids to cater to these needs of these illegal children who are often illiterate in any language.
In LA the kids speak over 100 languages in their schools. Someone explain how this helps the education system.

Our property and income taxes pay for the care and feeding of democrat party voters.
