Flynn’s Lawyers: Mueller Team Wanted False Testimony, Possibly Retaliated When Rebuked
Epoch Times ^ | July 12, 2019 | Petr Svab

Prosecutors from the team of special counsel Robert Mueller wanted Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn to testify to something that isn’t true, Flynn’s lawyers said. When he refused, they tried to label him a co-conspirator in a case where they previously said he was only a witness.

A federal judge denied the prosecutors’ move, saying the government didn’t present enough evidence to introduce Flynn’s statement as one of a co-conspirator.

...

In his November 2017 guilty plea, he said that the forms submitted by lawyers for his now-defunct lobbying company, Flynn Intel Group (FIG), contained false and misleading statements. The prosecutors, however, recently asked him to testify that he signed those forms knowing about the falsities and intending for them.

He refused.

“Mr. Flynn cannot give that testimony because it is not true,” Flynn’s recently hired lawyers, Jesse Binnall, Sidney Powell, and

an FBI agent called Flynn Jr., who used to work for FIG but wasn’t charged in the Turkey case. The agent questioned Flynn Jr. “despite knowing that he was represented by counsel,” the filing stated. “The Agent persisted in trying to speak with him even after he said to call his attorney.”

The Mueller team may have previously threatened to implicate Flynn’s son in the case as a form of leverage against Flynn, opined former FBI agent and Epoch Times contributor Marc Ruskin.

...

Such an under-the-table deal would be “unethical,” Ruskin said ...

“To twist the father’s arm with regard to his child is a pretty low thing to do, but we’ve seen low things done in these cases

I’d like to know the name of the agent who called Flynn Jr. up, and insisted to speak to him, even though he knew Flynn Jr. had legal representation, and was told to go through him. And who leaked to NBC news that Flynn Jr. could be indicted. All we ever heard was that Mueller’s investigation doesn’t leak, but with the back-handed crap they pulled on everything else, it’s clear they certainly did leak. With Andrew Weissman at the helm, and coordinating everything, I wouldn’t be surprised at whatever they did.

So, the FBI called Flynn who used to work for FIG?

Has anyone else seen the Copper Clapper Caper on Carson?

Mueller was desperate for anything at some point. Desperate enough to falsify evidence.

Look at what they’ll do to anyone who stands in their way. Donald Trump is a Billionaire.

What defense do those of us out here in the cheap seats have against abuses like this?

In other news, the sun will be rising tomorrow.

Our federal justice system is badly broken. This is Soviet in its workings. It’s pattern is all too familiar at this point:

Allege some wild crime.

Start investigation over “serious nature” of alleged crime. Eff probable cause in the backside!!

Flip friends to the prosecution by going Gestapo and using the threat of prosecution to jail said friends and their family.

Once flipped, compose compose and more composing of whatever testimony is needed. If not, jail.

What was that original crime again? We have moved onto perjury and a whole host of process crimes!!!

Federal Prosecutors have a conviction rate that would make North Korea jealous.

This is Powell’s opportunity to show how corrupt Mueller is. Another reason Mueller won’t testify in front of congress.

Strange.

Jerome Corsi accused them of the same thing- and even sued them for it.

At which point they dropped it, I guess.

The lawyers who tried to cause perjury should be prosecuted, disbarred, & put in prison.

Until that starts SERIOUSLY, nothing will change.

When A realizes he is going to jail for a long time, he will have no qualms about giving B & C etc up.

If the administration dives in the FBI pond and comes up with a few underlings etc, the boldness of the higher echelon will keep snowballing.

Do you think Comey & that group would be making public statements if they thought there was a chance of them going to jail?.

Every time they are ‘allowed’ to make a preposterous statement, it just emboldens them and if EVER charged or indicted, they are able to say the ONLY reason they are being prosecuted is to shut them up.

Run into the roundhouse Nelly, they can’t corner you there!!!!
