I dug a little more and now I think I understand:
There used to be a women’s college on the upper-east side, Finch College, and it had a high-school.
And the fiction writer Philip Roth used to, errr, hang out there, like Epstein at Dalton.
Finch didn’t have a high school. It was a private liberal arts college that specialized in fine art degrees. It had one of the best small art galleries in the city. It went under during the break up of all same sex colleges, sadly. All my records are at Marymount, the Catholic college nearby. I went to school with Ingrid Bergman’s daughters and the future Queen Noor. Quite an experience!
