Apparently Kapernick understands that those 13 colonies were slave colonies, even though you folk just want to ignore that unpleasant bit of knowledge that undermines your "The South had Slavery!" justification for invading them.

The colonies weren’t formed as “slave states” or “slave colonies”, they were formed as colonies. It is true that slavery was practiced in one form or another (and to one degree or another) in each of the colonies. So what?
But it is only the would-be nation of confederlandia that was predicated on and dedicated to the proposition of enslavement of other human beings. NOT the colonies, and NOT the United States.
