Tulsi Gabbard is right: Trump’s cabinet is full of ‘chicken hawks’
Washington Examiner ^ | June 26 2019 | Brad Polumbo

Posted on 06/26/2019 8:09:18 PM PDT by rintintin

In a presidential debate with nine candidates and one Beto O’Rourke on stage, it’s hard to stand out. So tonight, Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard leaned on her credentials as a military veteran and her reputation for restrained foreign policy, taking a hard stance on the Trump administration that’s sure to stand out.

She said:

The president and his chicken hawk cabinet led us to the brink of war with Iran. I served in the war in Iraq at the height of the war in 2005, a war that took over 4,000 of my brothers and sisters in uniforms' lives. The American people need to understand this war would be far more devastating, far more costly than anything we saw in Iraq.

“Gabbard is way off base. Trump CANCELLED the plan to attack Iran. He is no warmonger, which is one of the reasons The Swamp despises him so much.”

You’re right. But she was accurate to say Bolton is a chickenhawk. Trump himself says Bolton would have us in many wars if it was up to Bolton. So he’s a hawk. And he showed during Vietnam - when he declined to go - that he’s a chicken

As most vets can tell you, being a vet imparts you with no special wisdom beyond your MOS.

Lee Harvey Oswald was a Marine. So was Robert Mueller, if I'm not mistaken. And Jeffrey Dahmer served in the Army, while John Kerry was a naval hero, several times decorated.

Not her fault. Women weren’t allowed to serve combat roles.

On the other hand, John Bolton dodged the draft. And yet there isn’t a country on the planet he doesn’t want to bomb.

Shovels are for wolves. Hogs eat hawks, they taste like chicken. Did I mention I grew up on a farm. Navy corpmen served in Viet Nam in country with the Marines. Best one I ever knew was Doc Young on the sub I was on in ‘74. Just saying.

Does she even know what that means?

Yes, in this context it means Bolton. He wants war - for others to fight. During Vietnam he chose not to go. So he’s a hawk who’s a chicken

It’s funny. The one thing (from watching his show) I was sure Trump was really good at, is the one thing he really isn’t. (Picking a team)

I just woke up from a nap. Did we go to war yet? As far as I know Trump hasn’t started one either.

Hey Gabbard, are you stupid or are you deliberately trying to mislead the public? Trump DID NOT take us to war with Iran, in case you didn’t notice. In fact he notched down the tensions a level or two with his decision to not respond to the Drone shooting with an attack that would inflict human casualties. On top of that, whether his cabinet is filled with “Chicken Hawks” or not is irrelevant. Trump makes the decisions, and as a result the Middle East is a much more peaceful place than it was under Obama. So don’t pretend you’re against escalation in the Middle East. If you were, you’d be praising POTUS.

Gabbard was born on April 12, 1981, in Leloaloa, Maoputasi County, on American Samoa’s main island of Tutuila.

so we have ANOTHER pick of the globalist elite that is not an Article II, Section 1, clause 5 Natural Born Citizen.

Because of Obama’s 8 years, we cannot get the SCOTUS to adjudicate this Article III matter for the first time in US history.

Tuaua v. United States

According to the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), the people born in American Samoa – including those born on Swains Island – are “nationals but not citizens of the United States at birth”. If a child is born on any of these islands to any U.S. citizen, then that child is considered a national and a citizen of the United States at birth. In an amicus curiae brief filed in federal court, Samoan Congressman Faleomavaega supported the legal interpretation that the Citizenship Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment does not extend birthright citizenship to United States nationals born in unincorporated territories.
All U.S. nationals have statutory rights to reside in the United States (i.e., the 50 states and Puerto Rico), and may apply for citizenship by naturalization after three months of residency by passing a test in English and civics, and by taking an oath of allegiance to the United States. However, the INA makes clear that any “national but not a citizen of the United States” who at any time has been convicted of any aggravated felony, whether the aggravated felony was committed inside or outside the United States, is “debarred from becoming a citizen of the United States”

Trump knows that Bolton is a hawk and addresses that issue clearly and crisply in this video. Play from the 4:40 mark to the 6:40 mark.

President Trump Delivers Remarks Upon Departure Jun 22, 2019

He also says he is neither a dove nor a hawk; same video from the 3:35 to 4:11 mark.

No, you dumbass, Iran led us to the brink of war.

It amazes me how it’s never Iran’s fault, always America’s.

Oh my gosh. Trump actually led us to the brink of something ? The horror.
As opposed to Obama/Biden/Hillary bombing Libya with almost no provocation at all.

Right after 9/11. At about 245 and 5’ 11”, they said the weight was too much.

I didn’t try to lose enough to get in and I was already 33.

To be frank, with the horrors that happened over there, I’m not SO disappointed they didn’t take me.

Just keeping it real.

Head injury WASN’T from being in the military.

Unless you call a flight of cement stairs going to the subway in NYC the Military!!
