Read the NY Post every day and you will discover that lots of men from all races, ethnicity, and religions are wife beaters/killers. One of my children is a domestic violence prosecutor. She tells me that male aliens from south of the border are particularly brutal.

I agree with your view. Spousal abuse is not limited to any particular race, class or ethnicity. What I find appalling is the sentencing. The prosecutor seems to have had a very solid case and should have taken it to trial. Allowing a lesser plea with the prospect of parole in 14 years is a travesty. He spent 12 years torturing his wife. He has destroyed the lives of his three children. I doubt they will ever recover from knowing that their father killed their mother. Of course, he offered a heartfelt apology in court so I guess all must be forgiven. This cretin should never be permitted to be free again. Perhaps after he is released and abuses his next partner he will be punished appropriately.

I stand corrected! I often decide not to read an article if the title doesn’t make sense. It backfired this time.
Erin Pizzey, who founded England's first battered wife shelter some decades ago, pondered the same question after observing a multitude of cases. She wrote a book, Prone to Violence, where she explored the question.
Quick summary: most normal women WILL leave a violent spouse. A small percentage, however, are addicted to the adrenaline rush of living with a dangerous man. Just like some men are addicted to high stakes gambling, or extreme sports.
A woman choosing to live with a dangerous man is someone who would rather be terrified than bored.
From what I understand, the sentencing reflects the risks of going to trial: Witnesses to the years of abuse suddenly disappear or forget what they witnessed; the victim is portrayed as the abuser; and juries are often less than perfect.
Back to the topic. Yes, we know mooseSlimes are savages. We know they are animals and need to be eradicated. But crackers be insane what with our celebration of fag perversion, ceding civilization to the third world, and putting islam in a protected class.
