Gov. Andrew Cuomo has joined with a growing number of elected officials across the country in opposing the Trump administration’s reported plan to begin ICE raids early Sunday targeting illegal alien families.
Cuomo called the plans “shameful and wholly unacceptable” in a statement issued Friday night. Mayor Bill de Blasio and the mayors of Chicago, Washington, DC and Los Angeles also condemned the threat and promised aide to affected families.
“We will fight back at every turn to protect our immigrant families,” Cuomo promised. “New York will continue to be the beacon of inclusion and diversity that the nation and the world looks to.”

The targeted illegals are those with deport orders from a court. That is my understanding.

A judge heard the evidence and ordered them deported. These NY hacks should be charged with OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE.
Arrest the politicians resisting the enforcement of Federal law.

I wonder if those aliens who fail to show up for their court appearances are tried/sentenced "in absentia"?
Hopefully they are, or will be.
If they overtly obstruct justice by hindering Federal law enforcement that are executing their lawful duties, they should be arrested. Its essentially no different than arresting a corrupt elected sheriff that violates civil rights. Either obey the law or legally change it.
