Yup
Horse shit. PDJT would not broadcast an attack. I am not a Trumpbot and dont agree with everything he does but I back his stance thus far with Iran. Hit them with sanctions and cripple their ability to live with cyber attacks
I appreciate President @realDonaldTrump’s desire to be measured and thoughtful when it comes to Iranian provocations.
We all should.
Obama failed in the most giant fashion in 2009.
He wanted a “deal” with Mullahs in Tehran so bad, for his own personal legacy, that he totally refused to offer any geopolitical support for the Iranian opposition after they mounted the by far largest public demonstrations against the Mullahs since the “revolution”. Obama did not want to deal with or even acknowledge the Iranian oppostion, because it would take much longer for him to negotiate a deal with the Mullah’s regime imploding around them. It also meant a green light to Russia in Syria, because the Mullahs required it in order to continue the negotiations.
Yet, I am not saying I would have liked to see U.S. boots on the ground in Syria, as in Afghanistan. Had we taken that route, the civilian regime put up by the “Syrian opposition” would not have been dominated by “Syria moderates”. It would have been dominated by groups closest to the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood.
So our interests in the Middle East must be very narrow interests that serve us most of all, not this or that regime or group.
Our alignment with and support of the Kurds keeps our personnel commitment low, and keeps us as a thorn in the side of Assad, Russia, the Mullahs in Tehran and Erdogan in Turkey. Their actions will continue to be limited to how far we are willing to go to protect OUR real allies (the kurds) and our interest in our alliance with them. In time I believe that alliance must grow and extend into Iraqi Kurdistan formally, while our presence in some other Middle East locales should be commensurately diminished.
He only failed if you assume he was on our side. If you accept that he intended to bring Islam in to rule over the US, everything he did made perfect sense.
I've always believed that when Air Force One buzzed New York after Obama was elected, it was full of Mullahs, and was a victory lap for Islam.
They have fast boats all over that area and we don’t.
This was as classic as Operation Overlord prior to d-day. Iran on full alert, command posts fully manned, all radar and anti-aircraft systems go and the real plan was cyber. Can you imagine the amount of intelligence both cyber and electronic that was gathered in the next couple days?

Absolutely. Those calling for war have never smelled cordite and fear in the same breath, watched wagon loads of aluminum shipping cases being loaded onto a C-5, or seen the looks on the faces of spouses or parents when you drive into the yard in a staff car with the notifying officer and chaplain with you. Screw them. Besides, I firmly believe the “attack” was always about as real as Patton’s army in England before D-day. It was always about cyber exploitation with Iran on full alert.

My apologies. Not sure why I’m posting double.
