You can argue with that opinion all you want. But through my interactions with southerners that is what I have observed. That’s not to say most of them that I’ve met were fine honest and polite people and I like them but those that I’ve know were very prideful and did in fact make poor career and life decisions because of it.

Despite my pledge not to try reason with you, I cannot resist asking. There are tens of millions of Southerners. How many do you know, and did you use cutting edge poll analysis to arrive at your conclusion.
Pride is listed as the first of the seven deadly sins and predates Southerners quite a bit.
Is you looking down your nose in judgmental evaluation pride on your part?
It is true that Southerners have more of a sense of honor not to be violated but the rest of your conclusion is absurd.
