The liberal judge is known for rights campaigns and dissenting views on rulings
Veteran US Supreme Court judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been voted the shock winner of an MTV Award.
The 86-year-old outspoken liberal and champion of gender equality and women's rights beat tennis star Serena Williams and WWE wrestler Roman Reigns for the 'best real-life hero' prize at the awards on Monday.
The judge, jokingly dubbed 'The Notorious RBG' in the title of a 2015 biography by Irin Carmon and Shana Knizhnik, is known for strident dissenting opinions on Supreme Court rulings.

do MTV viewers really know who she is?
Serious question. Doesn’t MTV mostly have crazy reality shows about teenage girls getting pregnant nowadays? Does anyone with any intellectual acumen actually watch that channel?
No, but that's the point. You can't program intelligent people--not easily at least.
Bet ratings sucked.
Ruth said: ‘What’s an MTV? And what day of the week is it? Is Cronkite on yet?’
Considering the MTV audience, this is no shock...The only surprise is that Ajax Occasional-Kotex didn’t win....
Where in the world is RBG?
Are they sure she actually has real life?
Her competitors are as pathetic as she is, no wonder she won.
Just some speculations on the American voter... ..
What if over 50% of voters regularly watch MTV? Unless a good Kardashian story is on Twitter and Facebook.
And believe the electoral college should be ended because it charges too much tuition?
And believe Hillary really won but was cheated out of it?
And believe Obama freed the slaves during his second term and now white supremacists want to bring back slavery.
Note: in this “real” world a major survey showed over 40% of young people cannot properly place the sequence of which came first and second: the US Civil War or World War II.
What an election we face in 2020 to save our republic.
Voted “Most Likely To Be Unconstitutional!”

What a babe! She is a dead-on knockout. Well, maybe actually a knocked-out dead girl, but who really knows, right?
Which reminds me, has anyone noticed that the Dire Straits Song “Money for Nothing” (I want my MTV) is now being played On Air including on SIRIUS/XM with an entire Verse missing?
Here is the Verse:
See the little faggot with the earring and the make up
Yeah buddy that’s his own hair
That little faggot got his own jet airplane
That little faggot he’s a millionaire
I still remember the outrage when TCM “colorized” some old Classic Movies. They were accused with tampering with the Artistic Vision of the Movie Directors. It was an outrage.
Censorship is alive and well. It is a major part of the 24/7/365 Indoctrination and Propaganda being spoon fed to the Populace, especially the young.
One other point, has Mark Knopfler the Songwriter been accused of bigotry for daring to write such a hateful Song?
I’ll bet a dollar to a donut he leaves out that Verse whenever he plays in Concert like a good Liberal would.
Rant off. Carry on.
MTV Viewers, the biggest collection of idiots on planet earth.
Another big collection of non-thinkers.
The face of ULTRA-LIBERALISM.
And Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.
And Bruce Jenner (aka: Caitlyn Jenner) won The Arthur Ashe Courage Award (My apologies to Arthur Ashe)
Ruth would have been there greeting her fellow Jews off the trains.
