Best not to be shacked to a corpse.

If Britain refuses to be Britian, then what is the relationship we are supposed to have that is so special?

"providentially avoided as she was on maternity leave"

Nonsense! A lame excuse and an insult--to President Trump and his family and to the American People!

"May was no Winston Churchill or even Margaret Thatcher"

No, and the adulation shown to President Obama, who removed the bust of Churchill from the Oval Office, in contrast to the insulting behavior toward President Trump, who returned the bust to the Oval Office, reveals how far Great Britain has descended into decadence since the days of Churchill or even Margaret Thatcher.

If Britain continues its descent into the decadence of Western Civilization, Americans will weep, but they will not follow her there.

Merkel is a lame duck chancellor -- I just read her commencement speech - and besides the jab at President Trump's wall, I didn't see the part of the US foreign policy - I must have missed something, can you direct me please.

She tries to compare the Berlin Wall put up to prevent people from leaving.....ie to turn them from people who were discontent to slaves......that’s what makes you a slave....not bad conditions but instead when they tell you that you can’t leave. She tries to compare that to a border wall meant to keep foreigners out because the country is so desirable rather than keep natives in because the country is so undesirable.

She tries to tie striving for national strength or respecting one’s own sovereignty to the horrors inflicted upon others by Germany in the 1930’s.

She throws in some Gaia worshiping BS.

Tries to push globalism with BS about “acting together”. Given their history, no wonder the Germans think acting in your own country’s interest is some kind of bad thing. They forget, we are not them. Our history and our Weltanschaung is quite different. I also find this talk of shared responsibility to be extremely ironic coming from the leader of a country that freeloads on others to provide for its national defense and which breaks its word to do at least a bit more to provide for its own defense. No responsibility to your NATO partners Frau Merkel?

I seriously doubt it’s real, but you’d have to ask Rufus of Post 5.

Yeah, most people in America really believe that the U.K. loves us and is our great "friends" and allies.

Personally, I believe that they've always resented us (first for breaking away from them, and then later on for supplanting them as the world's greatest power), and that their "friendship" is mostly phony and that they're always looking for sneaky, underhanded ways to try and weaken us and screw us over.

An online search shows:

“Puducherry — City in India — Description — Pondicherry (or Puducherry), a French colonial settlement in India until 1954, is now a Union Territory town bounded by the southeastern Tamil Nadu state. Its French legacy is preserved in its French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-colored colonial villas and chic boutiques. A seaside promenade runs along the Bay of Bengal and passes several statues, including a 4m-high Gandhi Memorial.”

Re: The UK has 5% Muslims

Just to clarify....

England is 5% Muslim, not the UK.

About half of them live in metropolitan London.

Also, because of the British Empire, and because of Europe's proximity to North Africa and the Middle East, England has been accepting Muslim immigrants since the 19th Century.
