Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., told Fox News' Laura Ingraham on Thursday that he has found himself in rare agreement with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.
Earlier in the day, Pelosi unveiled a "McConnell's Graveyard" poster, listing several legislative items, written on tombstones, suggesting that the GOP leader was happy to stall the measures in Congress, McConnell explained on "The Ingraham Angle."
The list included the For the People Act, the Equality Act, the Paycheck Fairness Act and Gun Violence Prevention.
"She's got it right," McConnell said, referring to Pelosi. "She's got it absolutely right. For the first time in my memory, I agree with Nancy Pelosi."
"I am indeed the 'Grim Reaper' when it comes to the socialist agenda that they have been ginning up over the House with overwhelming Democratic support, and sending it over to America," he added. "Things that would turn us into a country we have never been."
Pelosi's poster included a quote from McConnell, in which he called himself the "Grim Reaper" in regard to keeping some of the Democrats' legislative priorities from reaching President Trump's desk.
"None of those things are going to pass the Senate. they won't even be voted on. So think of me as the Grim Reaper," McConnell had said.
Pelosi commented: "Leader McConnell seems to take great pride in calling himself the ‘Grim Reaper,’ it’s part of his political campaign."
McConnell told Ingraham he does not plan to approve any items that would move the country in a left-wing direction.
"This is full-bore socialism on the march in the House. As long as I'm the majority leader of the Senate, none of that stuff is going anywhere," he said.
The Republican mentioned several items he opposes that he claimed some Democrats support, including the addition of a new state to the Union.

Cocaine Mitch is such an idiot! With friends like him, who needs enemies?
Probably should read the article before posting.
I know that is not part of the age-old Freeper approach, but in this case, it might better inform you?!
For the first time in my memory, I like what Mitch McConnell is saying. lol
Read....then comment...
Mitch McConnell often does good. Not all the time, by any measure, but often on a few important things. I wish he had sped up the filling of judicial vacancies.
We need a changing of the guard.
Trump supporting, media savvy, great communicators, MAGA-propping, and diverse too. Individuals who can go toe to toe with the likes of AOC and whoever else the Left is putting up on their new front these days.
Hey, I say go for it, Cocaine Mitch!!!
P*ss off that nasty, petty old Botoxed B*tch, weve got your back.
Ha! Every once in a while, McConnell handles a situation with aplomb. #gomitchgo @gotthisoneright
Even a blind horse gets a drink of water sometimes.
I stand corrected...
Well, score one for Senator McTurtle. As long as he backs what he said, I’m good to go with it.
Even with this very welcome positive public statement together with the fact Mitch appears to understand his important role playing on defense, many of us out here on the sidewalk would agree with your point.
We believe it is now more important than ever to not just play defense but also that Mitch go on offense, especially after just announcing he clearly understands the dems are focused on implementing a socialist government.
Mitch needs to quickly seat qualified federal judges who can be depended on to uphold the law; many of us believe he could move faster. But that is not the only issue he must deal with and many of us are not at all sure how capable he is at multi-tasking. It would be very helpful if he unleased and supported a few of the R meat-eaters.
I like McConnell, not sure why he gets all the hate here that he does, I guess it just comes with the territory of being the party leader in Congress. McConnell, Frist, Lott, Paul Ryan, John Boehner... none seemed well-liked in conservative circles. Likewise, liberal activists don’t seem to care much for Pelosi, Schumer, Harry Reid, etc. either.
Good for Mitch! (Finally!)
Say what? This is one of those times I actually agree with Mitch...can hear his spine cracking as he stands up a little straighter while saying it.
