So you’re calling on them to use the left’s tactics, particularly the failed ones? Sounds like a false dilemma.
Its not a left right fight. Its a fight of the individual vs federal government. Red or blue team the federal government keep growing.
Some on the left dont like the wars and police state. On the right we dont like regulation and taxes. We could unite against a common opponent - the federal government or we could play the same stupid game and fight each other just the way they like it.
Fight over social issues at the State level. We
I am sick and tired of this defeatist shit. We're fucking Americans. Act like it.
I agree that 1965 was the turning point but for different reasons. The son-of-a-bitch named Lyndon Baynes Johnson started it all with his policies.
Very nicely explained. Right to the point. That’s pretty much in line with what the author says, too, but he wasn’t that succinct. Your two paragraphs would have been a fine conclusion to his article.
Drug abuse turned most of them to the left.
The leftists control the media
The leftists control the schools
The leftists are successful in discarding our history
The leftists are driving conservatives out of business
The leftists are eroding the Bill of Rights
The leftists are killing millions of babies each year
The leftists are keeping our borders porous
The leftists are allowing droves of non-citizens vote
The leftists are driving conservatives out of restaurants
The leftists are forcing perversions into our society
The leftist politicians get a free ride with the judiciary
Yeah, they failed. We are the victors. The merrily blogging-away victors.
Look again.
Another doleful surrender monkey article. What’s that - no. 25 today on FR?
Oh, woe is us.
If all of that were universally true, Trump would never have won, and the Constitution would have been cast aside already. Think the god of this world is going to win?
IF the USA does not survive . ..there unfortunately will likely be lots of blood...lots of it.
There were two ages that the end times were compared to, those being the days of Noah and the days of Lot in Sodom. See anything like the latter, at least?
LBJ was responsible for the mess in Vietnam and of course “The Great Society.” So, just how great is it? Pope Paul VI predicted in Humanae Vitae in 1968 the mess we are now in. But nobody listened. Pope Leo XIII had a vision around the turn of the century that there would be 100 years of the devil trying to destroy the Catholic Church. That seems fairly obvious even to the casual observer. But those 100 years are up.
Hopefully things will start to return to sanity. Pray for the USA.
Pope Leo XIII had a vision some time around 1900 that the devil would have 100 years to destroy the catholic Church. Those 100 years are over.
Can't be repeated enough - if we are to win, we need to be unwavering and steadfast and purposeful instead of sitting on our asses and gibber-jabbing as it that will make a big difference...the fact that FR has so much trouble getting the donations to keep the lights on is indicative of how feckless and lazy too many "on our side" are.
If you actually think conservatives blogging like mad and voting for an occasional member of Congress or President is going to restore this Nation, then we are indeed going down the toilet. Conservatives must shoulder not only the burdens of their employment in the work force, but also the extra burden of self-governance. Surely you get this.
Certainly do.
But as I noted before, claiming that the progressives “won” is an attitude of surrender rather than standing up to fight and right the wrongs. This kind of thing to blog about is just as bad.
Of course, it won’t be just Congress here, although the executive has the power to execute the laws; the judiciary and its power has to be brought back in line with the law, and it is the executive who appoints such judges.
That is interesting way to view it one that I would hate aeegappen
Nobody wants to see that happen. But the governance of the nation seems to have turned to trivialities and ridiculous things. The serious statesmen that arose after the Civil War, WW I, the Depression, and WW II are all gone and nobody of their stature seems to be in government or on the horizon. Just look at the collection of bizarre Democrat clowns that are lining up for a run at the Presidency.
The issues after WW II were all about restructuring governance of some large nations, rebuilding Europe, fighting communism, and rebuilding the world’s financial system. Today it’s all about ending burning carbon, murdering babies, or the “civil rights” of fringe kooks.
I think the seriousness with which we govern ourselves is inversely proportional to our wealth and leisure time.
