Washington Governor Jay Inslee says he has some allies in his push for a climate debate, despite the opposition of the national Democratic Party.
Inslee told CBS News in an impromptu interview Thursday that at least nine Democratic state party chairmen and around 50 Democratic National Committee members are planning to submit a formal resolution demanding a climate change debate to DNC executive leaders latest this month.

Yesterday, Jay Inslee told CBS News, "There are 14 other candidates who have said they want a debate on this. Is the party going to blacklist that 14?" He added, "We're going to hope the party will change its mind. Otherwise, we will pursue other options we can make after talking to other candidates."

In a true climate debate, one side would argue that man-made Global Warming is real. The other side would argue that it is not.
But of course that’s not what Gov. Inslee has in mind.
In his debate, the prompt would be: Because of Global Warming, all life on Earth will be extinguished in less than 12 years. How much taxpayer money are you willing to spend to stop this?
How about demanding this?

The debate? “How many evil rethuglicans are we going to have to send to ‘re-education’ camps before we can quit pretending we beleive this ridiculous nonsense?”
They desperately want to waste your money on The Cause.
I recall years ago (over 10?) Algore was scheduled to debate Global Warming (can't remember who was going to debate him?) and Al backed out at the last minute.
We are frequesntly told the "debate is over" concerning GW yet there never really has been a real debate.
Those pushing GW only want one side of the issue to be presented.
There is an astronomical amount of science that has never been heard. Ask any democrat and he will tell you, with their usual smug smirk of self satisfaction that the atmosphere warms the ocean. There is a little thing called specific heat. Pure water has the highest. That is the measure of how much energy it takes to raise one lb of water by one degree F. The number for water is huuuuuge compared to air, and the number for air varies hugely depending on the humidity. The arctic is so cold, that the water literally freezes out of the air. That leaves bone dry air, which as noted above takes very very little energy to raise the temperature 20 or 30 degrees (which is what they use to run the hysterical headlines, and calculate a new hottest ever temperature 1/100th of a degree above the old one (yeah, the world wide dataset on temperatures is accurate enough to report to 2 decimal places of precision. The ocean holds 1000 times the energy of the atmosphere. The other wee problem is infrared radiation does not penetrate more than a few mm into the ocean. The ocean is heated only from radiation directly from the sun in the tropics. It penetrates hundreds of feet. Other than the energy released daily at the equator via convection to the stratosphere, much of that heat remains in the ocean, and due to tendency of heat which is abundant at the tropics to want to be where heat is deficient at the poles, great ocean currents transport the heat to the poles. Did I mention sea ice melts mostly from heat in the water which got in the water directly via the sun?
