Anecdotal evidence

As a contractor here in the state of California nearly all my employees are Hispanic

100% of them are traditionally conservative

Now mind you these folks are legal. 100%.

"As a result, it's virtually impossible for him to win the White House due to the electoral college system, according to a a Univision data analysis of the key five swing states expected to determine the outcome in November."
But....but....but...what happened to the push to end the EC? It's inherently unfair they tell us. It's somehow RACIST they tell us. Now they see the EC as a detriment to Trump's re election? So does this mean the EC is a good thing? I'M SO CONFUSED!! ;-P

There is that assumption that Latinos is a homogenous group. Cubans don’t care a whole lot for government intervention and don’t aspire to subsidies and handouts. They know whither that.

Drives me crazy how many FREEPERS are ignorant to this fact. See it constantly. They think they are illegals. Ugh. Now I really wish we could give them independence and let them run themselves. That’d actually be helpful since they hate us anyway. I think it will eventually go the other way and they will become a state. Ugh.

What bull crud. That post you typed is a lie. Florida joined 47 states who allow felons to vote after fulfilling their probation and even added paying off fines. No felon is voting from jail. Where do you get this nonsense?

Re: Florida Election Trend

2016 - Trump wins by 113,000 votes (1.2%)

2018 - Governor Ron DeSantis wins by 32,000 votes (0.4%)

2018 - Senator Rick Scott wins by 10,000 votes (0.13%)

If 1 million felons (70% Black and Hispanic) get their voting rights restored before the 2020 election, Florida might be hopeless for the Republican Party.

Outside of prison, Florida has 1 million felons (70% Black and Hispanic) who are eligible to vote.

Last I heard, the Florida Legislature, Governor, and state Supreme Court are still arguing about how that voter re-certification will work.

That is true that Floridians voted 70 percent to allow felons to vote after fulfilling their requirements, but my point was that the poster I was answering to said that felons could vote from jail....what nonsense. I believe they are hashing out the ones that owe fines and perhaps keeping them from voting until they pay it off. We’ll see who this works out. I voted no on this but I think they used the “whoa is me” marketing to pass it and it worked. I remember people were freaking out because a bunch of Americans from Puerto Rico were going to cause Florida to lose in 2018....didn’t happen.

The danger lies in the fact that these folks now resist becoming fluent in English and thus receive all of their news from Spanish language propaganda sources like Univision.

Americans who happen to be Hispanic are NOT thrilled will illegals flooding the country, lowering wages, and making them look bad. There's a lot more closet Trump supporters among them than the liberal 'elites' of Univision know...

Hope Trump campaign takes nothing for granted. This ‘Mayor Pete’ guy talks a good show, a la Pres Obama; and, think he really believes what he spews. Hope Trump campaign works hard to reach out to Americans of all colors and heritage. The country can’t afford to have him lose.

There are many more registered Republican voters in Florida now, in 2019, than there were in 2016. A lot more.

Re: Puerto Rico was going to cause Florida to lose in 2018....didn’t happen.

True - but it was absolutely whisker close.

Governor Ron DeSantis, running against a controversial Black mayor, won by just 32,000 votes (0.4%).

Senator Rick Scott won by 10,000 votes (0.13%).

Since the Great Recession of 2008, more than half a million Puerto Ricans have moved to the USA mainland, and a majority of them ended up in Florida.

Since they voted overwhelmingly Socialist when they lived in P.R., that is definitely not good news for Florida Conservatives, for the GOP, or for Donald Trump.

Many successful and acculturated Puerto Ricans avoid Osceola County. I know of one who moved with his wife and kids to an old neighborhood in Seminole County and soon became the neighborhood watch chairman. He explains that he is determined that his children be raised to be Americans.

I know exactly what I said. And it is true. We are LETTING THEM IN. and then they are bussed, at your expense, to a neighborhood near you, I hope.
