For a man who enjoys the very best of the living status that is available today in the USA, he certainly is clueless about where his electricity & heat come from.

When the cold this past winter got into the double digits below ZERO, the wind farms had to be shut down because the lubricants they use were too think & could cause serious & expensive damage to the windmills.

Wind produced power during the coldest weather in MN. Their main wind farm was in ND and it was cold there too. In some cases they have (fossil) heaters to warm the oil. In others the heaters can be run from wind as long as there was wind.

It is true however that the only viable heating source for those kinds of winters is natural gas. Electricity, no matter what the source, gets less and less efficient for heating as the weather gets colder.
