Bloomberg Pledges $500M to Get Rid of Coal, Slow Natural Gas Production
Breitbart ^ | June 7,2019 | PENNY STARR7

Michael Bloomberg is giving away more of his personal fortune to advance his radical environmental agenda, this time pledging $500 million to shutter every coal mine in the United States and slow the production of cheap, clean, and plentiful natural gas.

The New York Times reported on the former mayor of New York City’s Beyond Carbon campaign.

“The effort will bypass Washington, where Mr. Bloomberg has said national action appears unlikely because of a divided Congress and a president who denies the established science of climate change,” the Times reported.

“We’re in a race against time with climate change, and yet there is virtually no hope of bold federal action on this issue for at least another two years,” Bloomberg said in a statement released before he announced his financial pledge in a commencement address at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). “Mother Nature is not waiting on our political calendar, and neither can we.”

Bloomberg wants to close down the remaining 241 plants in the U.S. by 2030.

Bloomberg has announced he will not run for the Democrat 2020 presidential nomination, but fighting climate change is becoming a major plank in many candidates’ platforms. However, none have joined Bloomberg so far in wanting to slow down natural gas production.

And so what exactly is this clown going to do with his money? Burn it instead of coal (might as well)?

The more important question is would he pledge to ride commercial aircraft instead of private?

Can someone direct me to the scientific papers or journals on “Established Climate Change”? Thanks in advance for your help. I am always willing to learn as much as I can in my twilight years.

New York is taking a page out of Hawaii’s model for using renewable power. But they are only showing the positives, if you want to call then that. Hawaii has been applauded for their transition to other power sources as the leader in this area.

But they are not telling the whole truth. Hawaii relies heavily on imports of petroleum and coal for power although renewable energy is increasing. Hawaii is the state with the highest share of petroleum use in the United States, with about 62% of electricity coming from oil. Only 26.6% of electricity was from renewable sources, including solar, wind, hydro and geothermal. And Hawaii has the highest electricity prices in the United States. Additionally, companies wishing to build these renewable source power systems are being required to do it on government leased land. More money in the coffers.

One of their big interests is solar power. But it is failing. Hawaii’s solar industry is dying before our eyes, with average installations plummeting by 56 percent in the last year alone. The number of PV permits issued by the County of Maui fell 84 percent this past third quarter according to data compiled by long-time solar watcher Marco Mangelsdorf.

It’s great to talk a good game, but the first pitch hasn’t been thrown yet for what they need to make this pipe dream come true. And New York is walking into the same trap.

These policies will of course impoverish many people. Mr. Bloomberg’s standard of living will of course remain and exceed that of any human on the planet. When the great reckoning comes, Bloomberg and his fellow hypocritical socialist billionaires will be held accountable.

Anyone would thinks this is a great idea should check out the miserable situation NYS is in. Upstate is dying, and high energy costs are part of the prob. Last I knew, less than 2% of the state’s electricity comes from coal. The war on coal is killing us.

And if anyone is really curious, check out the crap local governments are pulling with ESCOs. Someone is subsidizing those deals. My bet is it’s taxpayers.

NYS walked into it years ago. And we have the economy, population and job losses to show for it.

He has failed in his effort to spend vast sums of money trying to destroy our second amendment rights to bear arms. Perhaps he has become bored with that folly, and now he is pursuing a new hobby against fossil fuels.

Mr. Bloomberg can run to Israel after he finishes his work here. Most of us don’t have that choice.

Sooner or later the people will rise up and give folks like Bloomberg what he deserves.

A vastly shorter life.

Sir Winston Churchill's strategic directive to the War Council

1. Destroy manufacturing companies starting with ball bearing manufacture.

2. Destroy means of production and distribution of coal, petroleum and electricity.

What Bloomberg is advocating is half a Billion dollars worth of Treason against the United States.

For a man who enjoys the very best of the living status that is available today in the USA, he certainly is clueless about where his electricity & heat come from.

When the cold this past winter got into the double digits below ZERO, the wind farms had to be shut down because the lubricants they use were too think & could cause serious & expensive damage to the windmills.
