Foot on pedal, 10-year-old Murtaja Qureiris is about to lead the group of around 30 children. In video footage obtained by CNN, he is wearing rolled up denim jeans and black flip-flops on his feet, and grinning at the camera recording the event. It may look like a regular bike ride, but the group is staging a protest. Moments after they set off, Qureiris gets lost in the sea of boys, struggling to keep up as he lifts a megaphone and presses it against his lips. “The people demand human rights!” he shouts. As a boy, Qureiris participated in demonstrations like this bike ride, expressions of dissent in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province during the 2011 Arab Spring. Three years after he was filmed taking part in the bike protest, Saudi authorities arrested Qureiris, then just 13 years old. He was traveling with his family to Bahrain when he was detained by Saudi border authorities on the King Fahd causeway that connects the two countries.
At the time, he was considered by lawyers and activists to be the youngest known political prisoner in Saudi Arabia. Now, at the age of 18, Qureiris is facing the death penalty after being held for almost four years in pre-trial detention, CNN has learned.

I agree with everything you said except this. Ever since the revolution Iran has had a history of attacks on Americans abroad, if not on the Continental United States. The Iranian government has been equally violent toward Iranian citizens as well.
The curse of the Saudis is that they could be a very civilized, productive people if they didn’t have a strain of Islam that is “barbaric” and expansionist.
The curse of Iran is that they have a very educated population for the most part, but their religious/political leaders are psychopaths in the name of Allah and they want a nuclear bomb(s) and will do anything to get it (thanks to Russia, Red China, No. Korea and possibly Pakistan).

As soon as I saw it was CNN, I didn’t read it. I know nothing about this particular story, but it’s against my own personal principles to read anything from CNN. They are non persons to me.
Why do you think that CNN is telling the truth?
There is definitely an agenda at play here. The Left and its Iranian allies are trying to drive a wedge between the US and the Saudis. The death of Khashoggi became a rallying point led by the WP. There are many different groups of Saudi and other Arab dissidents located abroad funded by Western SJWs. They want to accomplish what the Arab Spring could not.
MBS has become the target especially after he rounded up a bunch of the richest Princes in the Kingdom and held them in a Riyadh hotel for over a month and shook them down for billions. It included Prince Alaweed bin Talal.
The Eastern Province of the Kingdom has a large Shi’a population that is supported by Iran. It is fertile ground for instigating a coup against the Royal Family. The Iranians are behind much of these domestic threats to the Saudi Government. Planting these kinds of stories with the likes of CNN, the WP, and NYT remind me of similar efforts to take down the Shah.
